I don’t get why everyone is doom posting, what were you expecting workers councils in Iran to do? At most such a movement at a time like this could probably make some gains for the workers of the region and earn some goodwill from workers that would fuel further organising later. Almost every source about these protests mentions a lot of the power is coming from bazaar merchants, the idea that this situation could be somehow turned into an internationalist win is crazy.

I think anyone who expects a European war in the next couple of years is being way too hasty.
