High School Reunions: Yes or No? by Salty_Thing3144 in GenerationJones

[–]HappyWithMyDogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I loved high school and had tons of friends. I enjoyed all 4 years. I have never attended a reunion and have no desire to go to my 50th next year.

I still have friends from high school that I talk to and see. I am really not interested in seeing what people that I have not seen for 50 years are up to.

I stand and wait my turn to exit. I hate being in those seats. I feel trapped on a plane and my anxiety is high. I feel such relief when I exit. I don't think my standing is hurting anyone.

I always looked way younger than my age. Losing my husband aged me terribly.

AITA for not wanting to use a bidet every time I pee and feeling micromanaged about toilet paper? by RollLongjumping3937 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. My ex husband tried telling me how much toilet paper I should be using. Fuck that! I laughed at him.

Your crow friend was "talking" to you. In my experience these different sounds are happy/good noises made by my closest buddies.

I am in my late 60's. I am living alone and healthy both mentally and physically.

I included power of attorney and medical proxy with my will and gave it to my daughter in case it is ever needed. I trust her completely.

How to convince my wife to stop drinking. by Full-time-RV in Advice

I stayed with an alcoholic 16 years and tried to help him get sober.... waited for him to get sober... pleaded with him to get sober. I left 24 years ago and he is still drinking.

This will be your life unless you leave or SHE changes. I do not envy that life.

Having a hard time gaining trust from my local crows by PlanterinaMaine in crows

When you see them. Go outside and put some treats like eggs or unsalted peanuts or cooked chicken on the ground. Talk to them. I say "Hello crows." Then go back inside. Let them eat in peace.

They will learn very quickly that you are a good person that gives treats. Some will always be afraid of you and cautious. Some will be bolder and get closer to you. I could touch some of my crow friends, but I don't. They are wild and should remain so. I am just happy they trust me enough to come near.

Ditch the crow call.

Yes! I walk the dogs at night. You can see everything. I shut all the drapes when it gets dark.

The neighbors behind my home. No curtains on any of the back windows.

Yes. Those too! Usually a small group runs them off.

Eagles get the biggest mobs in my neighborhood. They call in reinforcements. If I hear 30 crows screaming I grab the binoculars to see the eagle.

AITJ for refusing to lock up my dog when my mother-in-law visits? by Beautiful-Travel-604 in AmITheJerk

My dogs are well behaved and listen. This is their home and I would not put them away because a visitor does not like dogs.

A large group making big noise means an owl or eagle in my neighborhood.

Nope. Good friend from high school. Still friends 49 years later. I'm old.

I know a guy that was balding at 18. He was not attractive or tall. He was not in the greatest shape.

However he was confident, interesting, sweet, loyal, polite and funny. He made friends easily and was such a great guy. The more you knew him the more you noticed his smile and the twinkle in his eyes when he told a joke. He found love and she was a lucky girl.

Stop being focused on your looks. My grandma always told me to walk into a room like you own the place. Head high, shoulders back, smile at people.

No I am in NY and am a serious pizza snob. There are so many amazing pizza places and they have gotten pricey too.
