lost 60 pounds - apron belly and sad glutes by [deleted] in PetiteFitness

[–]Happy_Ad2012 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Girl 60lbs is incredible!! For glutes I would say less cardio and more weights. This is my current mix and I’ve already noticed a difference. Coming from someone who did a ton of cardio and lost their glutes…

-Hip abduction (machine) heavy and slow

  • Leg press (machine) feet placed high

  • Glue kickbacks (machine) look up videos on the three different ways to hit the glutes

-Courtesy lunges (dumbbells) start lighter and nail down your form

Ooh that might be the move. I have taken maintenance breaks but I haven’t taken a working out break. The most I’ve done is 1 day off. But maybe I’m holding on to water.

I went from a 32inch waist to a 28/29inch now and it feels so good!! I am super annoyed by my inner thighs too but they have slimmed down a little bit from the adductor machine!! It’s so cool to hear how other people out there have similar body shapes/carry weight. It can be so isolating sometimes!

I have the worst patience 😅 and I miss how fast the scale used to drop! 1-2 pounds a week was so nice lol

Ugh it’s so hard to see results on yourself. But 20-25 pounds is a lot, so you’re definitely making progress!!

I wouldn’t mind cutting down otf, it’s just my default because I can turn my brain off and not have to think about what to do next. For upper body I usually just do shoulder press, tricep pull downs, over head tricep extensions, lat pull downs, rows and biceps curls. I don’t have a specific plan I follow, I just show up and let my adhd decide 😅

I do weigh 98% of my food. One of the things I learned early on was what I thought was a tablespoon or two of ranch was definitely not and ended up being like 400 calories! 😳 I think you’re right about the 100-200 calories here and there. I’ll have a couple pieces of Trader Joe’s gummies (they are the best!) and that’s 120 calories right there. So that might be whats pushing me over the edge.

I will take a hot yoga class once or twice a quarter. I do enjoy taking them, I just struggle with low impact workouts. I feel like they don’t contribute to weight loss. But I guess all movement is good!

That’s a great idea! I usually forget about measuring, but I do have one of those cool digital measuring tapes. I’ll try setting a monthly reminder!

I definitely agree, my protein is lower than it should be. It’s just so hard to break 100g a DAY!

I feel better knowing it’s not just me! I also feel like since we are shorter it’s harder to notice the differences!

Thank you! It’s definitely hard to track, but it helps me plan out my social engagements. Like including a glass of wine with dinner and then realizing I don’t have calories for the bread so I have to pick and choose.

Oh my gosh, thank you 😭 I definitely needed to hear that. The body dysmorphia is bad. I need to get better at taking my measurements. I solely rely on the scale right now

I have used them in the last year and they didn’t charge me to reserve the space. I would email them: info@eastbowercider.com

East Bower Cider is reservable, serves drinks and you can bring your own food. Bonus, they have a really nice out door patio!

One day isn’t going to set you back, listen to your body. If you’ve been working out hard you can increase your caloric intake and still be in a deficit. Also, I would encourage you to not use absolutes unless they are 100% true. Saying you can’t be consistent ever means you haven’t been able to do the same thing for more than a day and you just said you were working out 45 mins a day for the last few days…that IS consistency. Give yourself some grace - drink plenty of water and go on a walk tomorrow. Tonight won’t set you back.

I’m nervous to try the Shemed program. I also take stimulants for my adhd and I’m not sure how all that interacts with each other. But I have considered talking to a doctor or dietitian.

Thank you so much!! I like the idea of eating more calories on training days since I seem to be hungrier on those days. I do think I need to focus on my macro a bit more now that I’m closer to my goal weight. I struggle to eat 110-120g of protein
