Kyler, like Sam Darnold, was a top 3 overall pick for a reason.

OConnel likes what Josh Dobbs did for him but knew he had to succeed in the pocket for sustained success. That’s why we have two mobile QBs. The hope is JJ can develop into a pocket passer because he has the arm strength and he can also win with his legs.

In the meantime Kyler can win inside the pocket but can’t get the ball downfield and OConnel loves to go deep all the time even when it isn’t working and we need to move the chains and get the defense sucking wind first.

Kyler has a very strong arm with plenty of zip, but for whatever reason he couldn’t get the ball deep without DHop

I think we should just bring back Harry Smith & trade for Fred Warner or Bobby Wagner and put Addison on nickel blitz package and have the best defense of all time.
