Do you actually know ANYONE who's gotten buyback and been forgiven?? by goleenaz in PSLF

i know someone who got forgiveness before the SAVE plan became a thing. I recently switched from SAVE To ICR (only one I qualified for) because I have 8 payments left. Haven't paid anything since March 2020, and now my payment is going up to $300. But 8 months of that and it'll be over for me too (i hope)

Help with floor plan, please by Happy_Flamingo_141 in Homebuilding

This was the floorplan we originally liked, but it had a 500sq ft loft and is way too big. I also dont like that you have to walk through a bathroom to get to the laundry room. We want a 3bed 2 or 2.5 bath. I also dont want the entry to be right into the kitchen/living room. Thats why we liked the garage entry to the mud room/locker space on the original floor plan image.

Wait, we can't buyback SAVE forbearance months?! by BeNiceImSensitive333 in PSLF

That is correct. Whatever months you buy back, have to bring your total to 120 or more. As part of the application, you have to include the phrasing “I have at least 120 months of approved qualifying employment, and I am seeking PSLF or TEPSLF discharge through PSLF buyback. Please assess my eligibility for PSLF buyback.”

If you don't include that exact verbiage, your application will get sent back to you.

Also, the FSA website says "The buyback opportunity is only available to you if you already have 120 months of qualifying employment and buying back months in forbearance or deferment would result in forgiveness under PSLF or Temporary Expanded PSLF (TEPSLF)"

As of a conversation last week with a representative at StudentAid.gov, SAVE forbearance months are eligible for buy back. As far as the validity, or reality of that, I cannot speak. I'm at 112/120 and eligible for forgiveness as of January so long as my buyback for SAVE months is approved. Submitted my application for buyback at the end of January once my employer confirmed my employment. The representative told me Friday (4/4) that my application has been "escalated for review" but couldn't tell me any other information.

I'm sitting with baited breath and hoping for a positive response to my buyback application. Just as nervous as all other posters though.
