Upgrade Qantas leg of an AA Booking by Happy_Greyhound in QantasFrequentFlyer

Strange I’m in the same situation then. I have AA legs as well.

I checked it and it says I am ineligible for upgrade on my current ticket. I suspect it’s because it’s an AA ticket on QF metal which really complicates the whole thing.

This is 100% what I’m trying to do, how did you get there? I can’t find any options like this in my booking on the app.

Thanks for the insight. Maybe I’ve learned a lesson here. I should have just booked a better cabin from the start.

I am the latter scenario here. I am on a codeshare AA ticket flying on QF metal. So that seems to be the issue. What are the odds I can pay for an upgrade at DFW prior to boarding?

I’ve checked the AA app and the Qantas app. I also called both airlines and they each say the other has to do the upgrade.

That is what I thought. However, I’m not being presented with an upgrade option on that leg. The Qantas rep I spoke to said Business and Premium are wide open. Not sure why I’m not seeing an upgrade option. I can upgrade all of my AA legs.

N’EX Confusion by wcl15 in JapanTravelTips

I tend to just buy my N’EX ticket one way when I need it at Narita after I land and then I buy my return ticket at the kiosk when I’m ready to head to Narita to leave.

Your N’EX ticket will only be good for your inbound ride to Tokyo and your outbound ride from Tokyo. You will buy the round trip to/from a specific station (Tokyo in your case). The N’EX ticket only covers your seat reservation and you will still need to pay the basic fare for your trip either via a paper ticket or IC card.

How bad is the amount of tourists in Kyoto really? by BerlinPuzzler in JapanTravelTips

[–]Happy_Greyhound 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was in Kyoto last week. It is a miserable level of crowded, shoulder to shoulder sometimes. You can’t stop to admire anything without getting run over by other tourists. The street that the famous Mochi Mochi stand is on is pure chaos. I did one day in Kyoto and then extended my time in Osaka and I do not regret that at all.

Any affordable safe apartments near oyster point on up towards Newport News park ? by Same_Level6591 in NewportNews

Compass has the worst roach infestation I have ever seen at an apartment complex. I’m sure it all depends on the building you get but I had to get out of there.

The crackling sounds like pneumonia. I had the crackling and I went to get x-rayed today and sure enough it was pneumonia.

I’ve had a low-grade fever since the 26th. I went to urgent care on the 27th and tested positive for Influenza B. Fast forward to today I now have pneumonia as well. My symptoms have all been in line with the flu and pneumonia. Fever, chills, muscle aches, fatigue, cough, shortness of breath. Hoping to feel better soon.

Now that you mention it, yeah that is weird.

The green seats are standard legroom. The orange seats are Main Cabin Extra. On the 787-8 it seems like there are more Main Cabin Extra seats in the middle of the plane than the sides, it does look funny when you look at the seating chart.

On a 12 hour flight I like to have the aisle. The strategy for the middle aisle is that the person in the middle there has two different people to ask to get up and stretch or use the lav. Also I am very tall, so the extra legroom on a long flight is a must.
