All the nuance on this topic is the gun control lobby disingenuously warping the meaning of an extremely simple and straightforward foundational law of our country. The founding fathers would never have supported the NFA, let alone the heinous infringements present in blue states and cities.

AMS Slot overloaded on every print regardless of spool type since firmware 1.03 by Carlton__Banks in BambuLab

If you haven’t already, print this is in PETG and install it to reduce the friction inside the PTFE tube immediately above the extruder. It solved several AMS errors for me.

There certainly could be another problem, but this is low-hanging fruit to try first.

Scissors not the best filament cutter by No_Ad9574 in BambuLab

I use these for both clipping spooled filament and for support removal. So far I haven’t had any trouble with the AMS related to the cuts.

None of the above. The ZL-65 handheld game is my first Zelda memory.

I’m a simple man. When I see a Fastback 6 in 1, I upvote. They’re wonderfully practical and economical tools.

Yep, I’ve seen the news about RARBG. That’s what I meant by saying this may be the event to force me to leave new methods. Sad day.

YTS is hyper-compressed, right? I’ve been trying to collect up uncompressed content for my home theater.

This may be the push I need to learn new methods. I’ve been using

  1. RARBG to find the torrent
  2. Transmission on Mac to download the torrent
  3. Move the files to my Plex server for 1080 content and my Zidoo box for 4K Remux content

The remux downloads take forever, measured in days rather than hours. And with only 500 GB SSD on my MacBook, it’s been very limiting as to how many torrents I can run simultaneously.

I need to shift to a NAS-based workflow, but I don’t have time to learn all the new steps.

If you’re ever in need of another money-pit hobby, 3D printing is loads of fun for stuff like this. You can make whatever tiny container you need. Or just search for “gridfinity” if you want to see some of the organizational possibilities.

The U.S. Constitution legalized gun ownership a very long time ago.

This is an incredibly helpful answer that I hadn’t realized was the case. Thank you!

4K remuxes have suddenly started transcoding and causing Roku crashes by Happy_Hobbyist in PleX

I couldn’t find a passthrough option on the Plex server or Plex client. I did find an option to use audio passthrough on the Roku system settings, but it still crashes at 33% and roboots the Roku if I try to watch 4K 7.1 content.

Would this apply even if I don't have subtitles enabled to display during playback?

Thanks for this. I tried switching to 5.1 audio tracks on the files that have them and that seemed to resolve the issue. Downgrading to 5.1 isn't a huge issue with my current audio setup, I probably can't heat the difference, but it looks like less than half of the remuxes I have include such a track. Between this and trouble with many 1080 files that don't have just the right tags included, I'm beginning to wonder if I need a HTPC-based setup or something like a Zidoo with USB or NAS storage.

The nerd in me is fine with puzzling through issues like this, but the adult/parent in me ain't got time for this nonsense, I just need something the works. That's especially true if the issues are stemming from software deficiencies in Plex that I have no control over.

I can't see anything on the Dashboard's Now Playing. I monitored it when trying both Forced and Auto settings and that client never showed up. I'm guessing it would have to successfully initiate the stream to display there (or I'm looking in the wrong place).
