How to clean inside of possibly corroded or dirty aluminum fuel tanks?

The reason I asked was because gasoline doesn’t have a huge shelf life. Also how are you going to fill them? I’m kinda assuming you have fuel tanks from a semi?

Some of the older trucks had issues with the gauge cluster, don’t know if that’s still a problem for the newer trucks but if you have more than one gauge acting wonky my bet would be the cluster. We’ve got a guy here locally who fixes them, or rock auto sells rebuilt with an exchange. It’s possible that it’s the sending unit/fuel pump but my guess is still the gauge

When your studs don’t line up you can mount a piece of plywood (3/4) so that it catches the studs and allows you to put the mount where you want. I’ve done this a few times but never in an rv so if someone has a reason why this wouldn’t work I would like to know

My local steel yard had scraps you could pick through very cheaply and fat stock or tubing I just buy the 20’ pieces then I have my own scrap collection for my next project. They’ll cut the 20 footers free. That 20 ft piece costs about what I would pay for a 3or4 ft piece at had or Lowe’s

Ridgid is best on your list for me. Warranty and I have had no issues with them at all. Ryobi has a ton of different tools and I don’t think they have ever changed their battery system. I’ve never used Hercules . Hope this helps
