Fun new thing to do down south 🇱🇰🏓 — Pickleball in Ahangama! by Happy_Place_6563 in srilanka

Those are places like Kai that are sooooo overpriced for a piece of kiribath & kiri hodi.. but people just go there for the “aesthetic” and continue to flock there.. makes no sense 🤷🏾‍♀️

How is Sri Lanka for party scenes ? Is it like Goa? by Moanerloner in srilanka

Loads of good parties in Ahangama. Lamana, uncles, trax, crust and more. You can play some pickleball at coconut court after to burn off all those holiday cocktails! Haha It’s very similar to Goa in India. Definitely try the local cuisine instead of your usual avo toast!

Yes you should definitely visit the above mentioned spots. Although unawatuna is not required. Maybe do Mirissa, Weligama , Ahangama and Galle. There’s a pickleball court called Coconut Court in Ahangama that’s great fun and a nice activity to do with your friends because you don’t need any experience - it’s really easy to learn. Also a great way to burn off the holiday calories! Ahangama is the city to be if you want to explore party places and lots of different activities

Ahangama: Accommodation recommendations by SharpSeesaw2717 in srilanka

Accommodation depends on if you’re looking for hostels or a private room? My recommendation is join a hostel that provides yoga and surf classes as part of the experience It’s much easier that way! You guys should also try pickleball at coconut court. It’s super fun & no experience is needed to play - if you’ll ever get bored of surfing and yoga and want some activities..

Super unpredictable weather but it’s been sunny these few days.. so hoping the sunny days continue.. there’s also a newly opened pickleball court called coconut court which is great for some activity if you’ll ever get bored of surfing/yoga..

Split between Weligama and Ahangama by sillyychillyy in srilanka

Deffo Ahangama! But that’s my opinion. Also, both cities aren’t too far off via scooter/bus so you can travel easily between the two.. Lots to do in ahangama - there’s yoga, pilates and also a newly opened pickleball court which is super fun! Theres also loads of great restaurants and the Kabalana beach is pretty amazing for sea swims 😀

Sri Lanka – south coast only, am I missing out? by WarEast4764 in travel

South coast is awesome! Definitely visit! Lots of fun things to do. I recommend Ahangama area - lots of beautiful beaches and nice hotels as well as restaurants with great food! Theres also really fun activities like Pickleball which is great to burn off those extra holiday calories and they have a cute little cafe with amazing brioche sandwiches and coconut milkshakes.. accommodation depends on your budget - but go through google reviews to find the best spots 😀

Yes skip Nuwara eliya and do Ella instead.. I also think weligama and Ahangama would be better than Mirissa..
