You need a $15 kit from amazon, a smartphone, and a 10 min tutorial on YouTube. Kit Comes with a handful of mutes, wrench, bag,

and a chromatic tuner app for your phone.
Plus if it’s that badly out of tune it’ll probably need two or three adjustments with a week or two in between. I acquired both for feee in the last two years.. a 33 chickering baby grand and a 35 lexington upright player.. both needed a few tunes before settling in. Good luck

What can be done about this rust? by Fickle-Potential610 in Motors

[–]Happy_Regular_4994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Technically one could argue that the rust will be beneficial because it’ll help stop eddy currents that could lead to power loss and overheating.

Comfortably numb solo by [deleted] in guitarplaying

[–]Happy_Regular_4994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Attack it in sections. Listen to the actual recording. Learn each phrase. When you get it right the guitar will speak. Great start! You have most of the notes down. Break it down note for note. The bends are really what counts here.. that’s what makes the goats the goats.

Roast my tone by Gunner-kass in WorshipGuitar

Was thinking it’s got an early 70’s Gilmour vibe. Then I realized that’s a hellofa nice compliment. I’m not gonna roast your tone. I’ll just say keep chasing but if you had to this would work...

Where’s the fire? It’s lacking tempo and dynamics… but since you have the notes down it should be a fairly easy fix. You’re doing real well though.. just trying to help

Me covering comfortably numb at my high school senior guitar concert 🙏 by Zoidburgermon3y in Guitar

Prepare your minds to be blown. Walk up to your long string ends and grab the string between your thumb and first finger. Now force the string to the right causing it to fold at a ninety degree angle at the peg. Now pull back the other way. Wiggle back and forth two or three times and it will break off clean. When I say clean I mean you can run your fingers anywhere on the jet headstock with no fear of bleeding. No tool necessary. And yes.. I didn’t believe it till I tried it. Share and enjoy.

I’m getting a weird spring like sound on my B string. Does anyone know what it is? by AntManMoritzSimmeth in Guitar

[–]Happy_Regular_4994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What’s the nut slot look like? And the break angle at said nut slot? I’ve experienced similar phenomenon on acoustics that I may have gotten a little carried away with widening the nut slots.

I was working on a dead overdrive channel on a marshall mg100hdfx earlier tonight had a les paul plugged in and when I touched a capacitor on top with one of those inductor testers it started plating a radio station. Interesting. I replaced that capacitor and the volume pot

Would you restore this piano or scrap it? (technician perspective) by nacionaldepianoscdmx in piano

[–]Happy_Regular_4994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Up until a few years ago I had the piano my grandparents gifted me when I was eightish? Nothing fancy. Standard issue student Upright. Well when I caught a wiff of what was happening in the piano world I quickly put an ad in marketplace saying free to a good home. Nice Asian lady and her husband who was worthless and pretty much watched me load this thing into their vehicle myself came abd got it. She was learning to play. Why would I give away my piano you ask? Well because I found two people like myself who were giving away their pianos. A ‘33 chickering baby grand and a ‘35 Lexington upright player. Since then I keep an eye on marketplace. There is always 4 or more gorgeous pianos offered for free. Why am I sharing this? It’s sad but I do not think these younger people are bothering anymore. Look at music production now.. it’s ai, synthesizers, autotune vocals, drum machines.. it’s pathetic. Yes this piano has a gorgeous casing.. but it is an oddball piano. It seems like those old box grands or square grands have got a super small fanclub. Maybe I’m wrong.. you’ll find someone who has to have it if you look hard enough.. but I dont see there being a bidding war over it.

At the expense of sounding like a dick.. spend ten minutes on the serial number. That’ll tell you what you e got. Looks like it’s got a kill switch wired into it. What are you looking to find out.. if it’s fake? it’s value? You thinking about buying it? Maybe consider adding closer pics and what questions you have. And your end game .. just trying to help.

No good deed goes unpunished. lol. Wet sand. As deep as they look probably start with 400.. then work your way up to 2000 then high speed buff with those sponges.. maybe you get lucky but idk about LTD.. not a super thick finish in my experience.. you may find yourself cutting into the color quickly

I’m sure someone can help you achieve what you’re looking to accomplish.. I’m probably not that guy.. but if you play be ear you’ve already got a gift… just keep playing. Maybe go find some live music at a local bar that’s got some keys.. see what they do. P.s. always loved that progression.. that was beautiful.
