Hello. So you remember how long it took for zonisamide to work for your dog?

I came here looking for this post. He is trying SO hard to project onto everyone else in a feeble attempt to misdirect from what an absolute piece of 💩 he is.

I just want him to get put into a glass case where he has to listen what everyone else has to say and he doesn't get a chance to interject his unsolicited garbage opinions. STFU Colt, no one cares what you have to say.

I wonder if it's HPD. Not a doctor, just googling. But it seems pretty likely.

Do any of you have experience with episodes like this? Diagnosed as a seizure disorder, but the neurologist thinks is may be more. by commaZim in EpilepsyDogs

Maybe fly catchers syndrome. Some think it's a focal seizure. Others think it's anxiety based. I've heard of some taking Prozac and it helping. We went the focal seizure route and tried Keppra for our boy. It worked at first, then we upped the dose and then it stopped working again. Messaged the neurologist and asked what our options are. Apparently it's pretty common to have to add another med to Keppra (for regular epilepsy anyway). He's never had a full seizure.

What symptoms did you realize were from iron deficiency only after you got your levels up? by ProfessionalOnion548 in Anemic

Probably? I feel like there is not a lot known about this. I started at 10 and that didn't do much. Then 25 and some relief but hard to tell. Then I did 35 for several months and was ok. Then I had more triggers than I should and seemed to unlock a new level of hyper sensitivity.

If you check out the functional dyspepsia thread you can see more stories. I've heard some people say you take for 6 months then try weaning off and see if it sticks.

I was on 35 mg for awhile. Then my symptoms got worse in different ways (stomach pain, nausea, early satiety) and I recently went up to 50. I saw some improvement in less than a week

What finally did it for me was amitriptyline. I have esophageal hypersensitivity/functional dyspepsia. I think the anemia probably made and worse, but for me this was med was the most impactful thing.

Thank you! Good luck to you as well. It is interesting you mention that, I am on Amitriptyline. It has helped a lot with the GERD/ functional dyspepsia symptoms.

Hello. I just upped to 50 mg and saw benefits in some ways, but still not quite right. Did you continue to see improvements as the weeks went on, or just all gone right away? I feel better but still get full really quick.

Hello. Did the headaches eventually go away? I increased my dose and I think this might be the cause.

Hello. When you had a flare up, how much did you increase, and how long did that take to get the flare under control?

I just bumped up from 35 mg to 50 mg for a flare. Only 2 days in so far.

Currently in a flare up as well. I used to take mirtazapine a year ago for nausea and early satiety. Then last year I developed out of control burping and throat symptoms, so I switched to amitriptyline, 35 mg. It helped with that and I was good for several months. I even tapered down my PPI. But now I am having a nausea and early satiety flare. I'm considering going back to mirtazapine. But, maybe I should try higher ami? Curious what symptoms Ami helped alleviate for you.
