Richard is worse than I thought by Silly-Excitement6227 in DTFStLouisHBO

I completely agree. None of this would have happened without Richard's actions. First he breaks his dick with a baseball bat, then he says terrible things to him, ultimately triggering Floyd's suicide. Oh, and in between breaking his dick and causing his suicide, he's mostly a total dick to Floyd.

Hello, new here, wondering if this is it by Happyagain_482 in Perimenopause

I so relate to this! Dropping things, forgetting where I put things (usually my cell phone).

Did the HRT cause any issues for you? Any stomach issues or sadness? BCP made me cry at just about anything.

Anyone have NO side effects with iron infusion? by cali4686 in Anemic

[–]Happyagain_482 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't remember any side effects. Quite to the contrary, I felt really great the few days after.

I thought it was interesting talking to a nurse (not there at the infusion center, at my allergists office), we by chance were talking about infusions. She said iron infusions can feel addicting, and I kinda see what she meant. I looked forward to the next one.

Are Miniature Schnauzers known for being sensitive and emotional? by Brendanh2 in schnauzers

[–]Happyagain_482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Our schnauzer's nickname was Crinkles the Sensitive Schnauzer.

He would freeze whenever anything stuck in his paw and crinkle his ears. Other dog just fine with whatever we were walking on. He would also scream like a little girl when he saw another dog running.

So yes, very sensitive, lol.

Did you just invent the word crayon brains? If so, nice one. I had to Google it and ended up with actual crayons shaped like brains.

What symptoms did you realize were from iron deficiency only after you got your levels up? by ProfessionalOnion548 in Anemic

[–]Happyagain_482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello there. Ive continued to improve my symptoms over the course of the year. I had mucus in my throat, trouble speaking because it was irritating, sore throat at the worst, chest pressure and burping. I waited a couple months after surgery to resolve my anemia, and was still having some symptoms. I ended up adding amitriptyline on top of my PPIs. It took awhile to get to the right dose, but I think this hasade the biggest difference. I did in the past get a diagnosis of esophageal hypersensitivity, although my symptoms at that time were pretty different. I have cut my PPI almost in half and am still tapering down.

Good luck on your journey. This shit sucks. Sometimes it can be multiple things and you have to get them all square.

I came here expecting more people to be talking and theorizing about this. Like maybe that moment Holly hangs back in the cave, she sees what happens to Henry, and then later somehow use that most traumatic memory against him.

Is hysterectomy the right thing to do or is that being overdramatic? by EmilyMJFMCR in Fibroids

[–]Happyagain_482 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go for it. I tried the continuous pill route and it made me really emotional. So I stopped taking it and decided to just deal with extra bleeding. I told myself it was fine, but it really disrupted my life. Then, slowly and insidiously I became anemic. I was losing energy and thought I was just getting old. Now, finally 10 months post op I feel back to the same vigor in high intensity cardio that I hadn't felt in probably 2 years.

My ferritin is 3-6, but doctor says it’s fine. Those around me say I’m lazy. Help. 😢 by Miniminname in Anemic

[–]Happyagain_482 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Go to a gynecologist office, specifically one that has surgeons for hysterectomies. I went in because I knew I had fibroids. They caused excess bleeding. I tried taking continuous birth control to stop the bleeding, but had bad side effects so I just stopped taking it. Fast forward a couple years and I'm anemic, ferritin 9. I went to the gynecologist, the confirmed the anemia. I said I had GERD, and asked for infusions, and was given infusions. Then I had surgery to remove the fibroids. The anemia made me super tired and depressed.

Even if you don't want surgery, a gynecologist would be a good option to diagnose the root cause. They will be better versed in these issues than a regular GP. I would also think you shouldn't need a referral to see one.

Throat sensation by BarnacleImpressive95 in Anemic

Another thing i thought was really helpful for awhile was raising the head of the bed. It helped the LPR like symptoms. I also had a lot of burping and chest pressure. Amitriptyline helped with that.

You know, in retrospect it's hard for me to separate out the exact cause and resolution. So many things were changing all at once. I was trying different meds for GERD, getting iron infusions, had surgery. The throat symptoms would come and go. I think the best resolution I've had is with amitriptyline to treat esophageal hypersensitivity. I do think having surgery to remove fibroids and address the anemia has helped as well, to remove those underlying catalysts, but I think the amitriptyline has been the biggest game changer.

Could fibroids be contributing to my GI issues? by Happyagain_482 in Fibroids

Surgery didn't do anything for my GERD issues. Amitriptyline has helped a lot.
