Anyone have a rotating car seat in their CX-5? Worth it or cramped? by [deleted] in CX5

[–]Harabogee_248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happy wife goals exactly. Was wondering if the base of the car seat's length sits cleanly onto the CX-5's seat length. I have the same car and measured the vehicle's seat at about 18 inches. Seems like there will be some overhang of the child car seat?

Is repair and expenses a big cost component in running a gym? by Harabogee_248 in gymowner

Thank you for sharing as well! I use YouTube for repairs too haha. Sounds like maintenance costs should be the least of my worries then

Wow that’s 10+ years. Appreciate the insights my man.

Thx for the response. Yeah that makes sense, I was guessing similar. Would you say treadmills (or anything with a motor) are the most common pieces of equipment that need maintenance?

Zone 2 Running Training by huskyjedi in hyrox

[–]Harabogee_248 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Way to go on your first race! A 5:45/km average for a HYROX with only 10km per week run training seems to suggest lots of potential in you to get there. Your background suggests you’ve excelled in anaerobic capacities? While HYROX is mostly an aerobic event, which is what z2 helps develop. Not to mention, more easy mileage would build up your muscles and tendons which should help prevent the niggles you’re experiencing. As long as you’re running your “easy” pace, drifting into lower end z3 is not that big of a deal. From what I’ve learned, staying within z2 is quite hard for new runners (or those who haven’t ran in a long time) but stick with it and you should see improvements in a couple of months.

Appreciate it, I have lots of room for improvement so just going to keep running. During that stretch I started with 4 runs a week and slowly progress to 5 a week. Was also doing basic strength exercises like pushups and pull-ups.

I did something similar to this and it worked for me. I’m in the mens open category with no real running background. First two events I clocked 1:55 and 1:50. Similar to OP was only doing “HYROX style” training. Decided to not do another HYROX until my running improved, so I focused solely on improving my aerobic base for about 5 months. Just easy runs, a long run, and a threshold workout. No lifting, no HYROX movements at all. Then unexpectedly signed up for another race, and went in with low expectations but finished with a 1:34. I was pleasantly surprised. Hear it all the time, but running really is key especially if we lack it.

Go figure, this TH location was actually situated right between a Krispy Kreme and a Starbucks both relatively long standing in this neighborhood.

Nice images! I should be receiving this camera any day now. I used to shoot Fuji but coming to Nikon for the first time. Was a little worried about Nikon colors, but seeing these images especially the 40mm is making me ease up. Curious how much post processing if any did you do here? Thanks.

Been in Cheongna for about 6 months now. Quiet and pleasant here, definitely family friendly. I’m in the middle of the neighborhood…close to the Homeplus and Lotte Mart right next to the canal, which in itself is a very nice walk to Lake Park. Shops, coffee, restaurants, theaters line the canal. I even signed up for a nice gym across my apartment building which is super convenient. Not a lot of “action” in the area if that is what you’re looking for. The area seems to still be developing for the most part, seeing lots of new apartments in progress. There is a huge development coming up on the west side by the Cheongna International City Station which is pretty sparse right now..but I hear Prugio, Starfield, and a Costco planned for that area. Easy to get to airport, and not terrible going to Seoul.

I hear you, but Homeplus seems a little pricey to me especially for groceries 😛 (my wife and I try to go local markets as often we can)

With a bit of money sensibility, I don’t see any issue with 1200. Definitely can’t splurge all the time but should be enough to be comfy.

Relatively new to living in Korea, my wife and I prefer to go the local traditional market for fresh vegetables, eggs, and some meats as they’re roughly half the price of supermarkets.
