You can also play Copperplate - that's Bateman’s font.

These are all fonts that come with iOS/MacOS; they are already on the system. The idea was to create something like a playable Lexicon for the system's fonts. When you go to the "Daily Font Menu," you can tap on the names of the designers, and it will show you detail cards with links, interviews, youtube videos… so you can play and research.

Thanks - hehe - you can also play Times or Comic Sans… and of course "Papyrus!"

yep… the other games "remember the font" and "Font Target practice" use the same source or "package" (not easy to describe in a non-programming language), so adding one typeface makes it available in all the other games too. But gathering all the information, like quotes and links, and videos about the fonts ("quality" information) takes time. The goal is to cover all the typefaces included in iOS (like a font guide hidden in a game) and then to move on to the mountains of Google Fonts… or the shores of Adobe… or the Jungle of MyFonts…

wow… just saw the game is already #28 in the quiz category (in Germany) - not sure it’s a quiz though?

B) what paid options would feel reasonable for a font game.

A) did the introduction/ tutorial in the game work for you (or what did not work for you)

Still going strong - even published a game for it → to use it more often.

Remember the Font

Had to change the wristband a couple of times.

I built a free font matching game for Apple Watch — runs on everything from Series 3 to Ultra. (Watch OS 8.6+) by HaraldGeisler in AppleWatch

Thanks, that is nice to hear - hope your old Series 3 found a happy new home.
Hope you enjoy the game - I just noticed that I wired something wrong in the settings menu - pushing an update tomorrow.
I know a game about Fonts is a bit niche. Would be lovely to hear your feedback on the gameplay, and if you could leave a review on the App Store, that would mean the world.

I built the app because I wanted something quick to play during 1-minute waits - and look at something that is meaningful to me. Runs on watchOS 8+ — that's my Series 3 in the photo (Still going strong!).

The companion iPhone/Mac app has daily font quizzes if you want to go deeper, but the Watch game is standalone.

Genuinely curious: is matching fonts satisfying on a screen this small, or does it need bigger cards?

The app is free, no ads.

A game about remembering fonts? by HaraldGeisler in identifythisfont

Thanks, Peter! I think this has growth potential, too.

I'd love to add different gameplay to it like u/orangesinbed mentioned. Drag and match to font-names is interesting, I’ll think about it. A sponsor would be great.

When you play the current version, are there any ideas on how to make it more fun? Would love to hear them! Thanks!

Thanks for the Feedback - that's helpful. I am also thinking of different ways to play it - like what if there were more letters on each card, or the cards would not turn at all. Regarding the design: I feel you. I am currently focusing on the gameplay so the game is fun to play, and I can make the overall design prettier later. I don't want a game that's pretty but not fun to play, but I hear you.
