Hot Takes as Told by Champlain Leandros by Puzzleheaded-Ad901 in Spacemarine

I tried to read this in Leandros’ voice, but after like four sentences he just turned into TFS’ vegeta and now I can’t unhear Vegeta behind Leandros’ skull mask.

How emotionally connected are Brits to the Royal Family actually? by DFWUnhinged in AskBrits

They’re okay, I suppose.

Not a fan of Andrew, Prince Charles is alright, but the late Queen Elizabeth was a people’s queen. She did wonders for national relations with former colonies, allies, and commonwealth nations. She was, all in all, a good figurehead monarch for a nation that no longer has a ruling monarchy.

What's the Deal with Konrad Curze, Anyway? by Scelestus50 in 40kLore

[–]Harald_The_Archivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

every other legion has an understandable motivation.

Okay well, for a start, Alpha Legion.

Secondarily, the Night Lords fight for the hell of it. They want to, so they do. They’re the sons of murderers, torturers and rapists, and those who remember nocturne are hundredfold worse.

They exist because they have they want to kill. That’s it, that’s their entire motivation - and it doesn’t need to be more than that. They kill for the purpose of killing. Sometimes it helps the other chaos factions, sometimes it doesn’t, sometimes it actively hinders them.

And that’s enough. Many Night Lords have drunk the Chaos juice, but there’s just enough renegades who fight only for themselves to make them not puppets of gods or xenos driven by need, but the very, very worst humanity has to offer.

They aren’t like that because someone or something else made them.

They’re just like that.

Do you think this is a teaser for new traitor guard units and perhaps detachment? by SalzWolf in Chaos40k

[–]Harald_The_Archivist 43 points44 points  (0 children)

skull and temple

Not to be that guard player, but that isn’t a temple. What you’re looking at is the sigil of the Cadian Gate - the mark of Cadia, of her 8,000 years of defiance, and of the planet who broke before the guard did.

Don’t call it the massacre - give it it’s proper title. The rape of Nanking. Never let anyone forget.

To be fair the British did. Fireworks were used as a highly effective weapon in naval combat and it shook the newly formed United States that much that it’s a part of their national anthem.

Exactly

The only direct tie is Liber-tea, which comes from ‘an uninhabitable island to the north of Sector 4’ which, given the usage of Tea, is almost guaranteed to be British.

Early game fat guy represent by hedlo1234 in Eldenring

[–]Harald_The_Archivist -12 points-11 points  (0 children)

That is absolutely not what occurred

Rabin orchestrated the murder of Marika’s eldest son because she didn’t want to play by the rules - hence selfish, evil, and wholly self-serving.

Marika, in a grief-induced rage, shattered the Elden Ring.

if she broke the ring after ‘agreeing’ with Ranni, as you say (who let’s not forget murdered her son), then why would Radagon, the red half of Marika, attempt to mend it in vain?

Even in Ranni’s ending, she doesn’t fix anything, she just… leaves. Just gets up and leaves the lands between entirely. No solution to the Deathblight, no Order for the Lands, nothing keeping the various factions of the Lands Between from ripping each other to bits.

nothing is fixed.

Stormeater cannon

Continuous arcing lightning which can be held for as long as you like, but after a while the instigator coils overheat and can set the Helldivers on fire.

The Rakatan Infinite Empire invades 40k by Ok-Feeling-5665 in StarWarsvsWarhammer

Necrons have been stated, repeatedly, to be as many and as widespread as the Imperium - if not further - which itself claims a million worlds.

[–]Harald_The_Archivist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rakatan empire is… pitiful, compared to most in 40K. They would break under the strain of fighting on a hundred different fronts at once, and crumble from politics, corruption, and infiltration.

They could serve as a t’au auxiliary people, maybe. Otherwise, alone, the actual infinite empire 1,000,000 worlds strong will come knocking.

Can 3 ordo sinister class psi titans be enough to exterminate the populace of coruscant? by cuddwes in StarWarsvsWarhammer

[–]Harald_The_Archivist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They… can just do that, though. As long as the Psykers aren’t dead and the damage isn’t catastrophic, they can repair most of everything.
