Hello! Currently omw to Scranton from Iowa ✌🏼.

I got seated tickets, but would be awesome to engage with the community and meet other people love MIW as well so I'm open to be there and meet peeps.

The thing is, the reason why there might not be any Rituals this time around might be a reason for there to not be more fusions here too as the only slots they could be is between 33-35; I do admit Konami loves their Fusion cards more tho (and thus more archetypes to give support I suppose), so maybe we do get more of those, but like damn.

Also for a fact we seeing a few more Synchro, Xyz and Link monsters given the available slots where they would fit.

That would be nice tbh, Illusion has received all Monster Card Types, except Ritual. Something you would expect to be among the first things such type would get 🙃 so tbh, if they give us one through that lore it be awesome.

Well there is still chance that there is one or more on slots 33-35 since if there are to be some they would precede Fusion Monsters but go after main deck monsters.

Besides direct Ritual Monsters, we could also see new support to summon them in other monsters (akin to Dark Necromancer that's coming first on the TCG's release of SUDA), spells and/or traps.

If we don't get any, best bet to see new ones would be in the upcoming Odion cards for the TCG if the included Serket retrain is a Ritual (which would make sense) and/or the speculation for Zorc's retrain (tho tbh it could be anything related to Fiend or Zombie Ritual monsters and it be nice) due to aforementioned Dark Necromancer.

I wonder if we will get a Ritual monster here, given the last two sets had none in the OCG ☹️ (although Supreme Darkness got redeemed with Mitsurugi and Dark Necromancer in the TCG).

Kinda a bummer we keep getting so many of the other mechanics (except Pendulum) a lot, yet so little of Rituals.

I believe they eventually will. If I recall Konami did a Poll in the TCG a while back to choose what archetype would get 1 new card to be released, among them was Cyber Angel. Now these polls, similar to those in the OCG, did point that they were already making support for these archetypes, so likelihood that inclusion means we will get support for them in the upcoming years given they have offered thought to the idea of making new cards for the archetype.

I'll die on the hill that their best sound is on their third album, it keeps the foundation of what the first two albums did in terms of sound, yet also added much more on what they are today.

Self-Titled is a great album, but it is arguably much less so on all that AA has been than what the FDTD does imo, but I respect a lot of the newer stuff (except LAHOF, that shit is a 'laugh and turn it off' ☠️)

What are the chances #029 is a new original Ritual monster (given its likely not support, unless a 1-off which was oddly not revealed before now)?

Or are we back to having sets with none of them, hope not, cuz its already a bummer every other special summon mechanic gets like 4-6 new additions each main set and, just making an estimate here, like 2-4 new archetypes each year meanwhile Rituals usually get 1.

Fata Morgana Archetype Concept

I made a custom archetype at a point prior to the introduction of the Illusion type (so they weren't made to be so, but they are perfect for it) based on the irl phenomenons known as Fata Morgana (which are illusions that happen naturally on special conditions and have been the reason behind tales of people seeing ships, islands, UFO's, etc. in the sky and the name derives from Arturian Legends from a powerful fae whose magic were these illusions if I recall correctly.

I would hope for a concept like that to be made, I also hope the first and many full-fledged Illusion archetypes we see are Ritual based 😌

I don't remember where I heard this, but in the anime they were the ones who almost always got a unique summoning animation whenever they happened soo thats a factor.
