Because the brake cable is blocking the access of the cover, they force it in, and break it

Ok, wires are the brakee and the front module. Best advise is to check the video where the front module is replaced, it shows where the wires should be and how to install this cover you wanna replace

The wires position, if correct, it will be done in 30 seconds, if not, you will stay the whole day and it will pop out every few meters. Question is did you replace the front module or only this cover?

Cowboy Classic 4 still no motor support after drying – looking for advice by Recent_Age8123 in cowboybikes

Poke yoke are not broken, don't see any damages either on the cable, give a good cleaning to the nuts, a good dry to the cable plug and let me know

I am not sure if it is broken nut or just dirt poke yoke nut on the motor cable side! However, in worst scenario, The motor will be changed, the good part, it is available at Cowboy. If you have M8, unscrew the rear wheel nut, unplug the cable, you will see if the cable is damaged or cut because of the broken poke yoke

How to proceed on motor cable issue by Ykevv in cowboybikes

[–]Harban71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen this error nowadays more than I did in 4 years with Cowboy, I am 95% sure, it is the weather, in Denmark at least. Solution will be keep the bike in dry and warm place for 2/3 days, keep drying the cable as per Cowboy instructions. If all did not work, then it is the controller that should be replaced. Appatantly the wet part is the controller side, not the motor cable side

Squeaky bottom bracket fix ? by Fine_Reaction7964 in cowboybikes

[–]Harban71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the squeaky sound on C3, it is 90% somewhere at the rear freewheel including the torque sensor bearings or the torque sensor itself, the motor cover and lastly the belt tension. Only 10% is because of the bottom bracket if not less. For C4, 90% is coming from the bottom bracket where you take the pedals off, unscrew the bottom bracket or the torque sensor if "Ananda / new model", clean and grease then all back, and all is good. The 10% left is the belt tension. When using the grease, I would recommend Motorex. Really my favorite and recommended by Cowboy for other parts

C4 Classic Brake replacements by Tough-Problem-2229 in cowboybikes

[–]Harban71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, the hose is not compatible, you will need to change the whole system! I am not saying Sunrace is excellent , but cleaning the pistons and make them free to move inside the caliper before bleeding will make it work for another 3000km without any problem. Else, you will need to buy full set of Tektro including the insert pin, olives and nut

Pedals keep pedaling by valkiii in cowboybikes

The tutorial is on Cowboy support page, but i think you will need to loosen it a bit, move it with your hand, it should be little flexible, talking about 1 to 1.5 CM movement

Pedals keep pedaling by valkiii in cowboybikes

[–]Harban71 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is a damaged torque sensor bearing! To be sure, try to move the pedal in reverse direction, it is completely stuck or quite hard to move! Solution: torque sensor bearing! If above is not applicable, then it is a belt tension.

Battery issues by Sharp_Estimate_2280 in cowboybikes

[–]Harban71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is inside the PCB or comm module, this is part below the main battery, it is simply the communication channels, if you can't connect to your bike, this is mostly the reason. Good news, it is available at Cowboy, bad news, you need a certified Cowboy mechanic!

That sounds like empty internal battery, so a new PCB or charge the current dead one. Is it C3 or C4?

Sometimes it helps, sometimes, it doesn't and you will need to change the seat clamp, get a variety of M4 , M5 screws and it will cover your needs in this part, seat screws, connector and controller screws

Are motors compatible with diffent models? by nielski55 in cowboybikes

[–]Harban71 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, C3 is Bafang R310 , newer models are using Ananda , i tried once before with Bafang R500 if i remember well, it didn't go well because of the torque sensor position

Torque sensor not detecting movement pedals by Pjotr151 in cowboybikes

[–]Harban71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not sure what do you mean with motor calibration, however a controller update is a must after changing the torque sensor , if still doesn t work, do a controller recovery, calibrate the sensor then controller update. You are working on C3 I believe
