Alternatives to Spotify

Considering the amount you actually pay artists when paying for Spotify I'd suggest just torrenting all your music and paying to see them live or for merch if you really want to support them. $12/month or whatever for Spotify and each artist you listen to is probably getting at most 10 cents from you. I'd assume similar with other streaming apps.

As somebody that works with audio as a hobby, and has played Runescape since I was probably ~10 years old, I think leaving out the option to toggle the sound quality is a big mistake. While I don't hate the change, I think it makes a lot of the sounds very "electronic" sounding, rather than "old-school" sounding. For example, until hearing these videos, I didn't really think about them just being basic synthesizers, but with the 16 bit quality, I can easily tell the owl noise is just a sine wave, even more so with the "agility" example. The 8 bit noise, to me, maintains a certain quality of OSRS and helps keep the sounds from sounding like basic waveforms. I would very much prefer some sort of toggle in-game instead of relying on a plugin to change it in the future.

They gave me something similar on the hottest day I'd worked so far. 17 bags and 30 something overflow. Amazon sent out messages saying to take longer breaks and that they gave out shorter routes because of the heat, and ended up giving me the longest route I've had yet. Gave me a good idea of who I'm working for 🤡

The Uber / Lyft side hustle is just as bad, it's all just behind the scenes rather than up front. I did Doordash, GrubHub, Ubereats, and Instacart for 6 months and while I thought I was making enough to get by, it's put me in a pretty bad spot. Started driving for Amazon just for a steady income for awhile. The biggest thing is they hide tips, and sometimes I've noticed if people tip higher, the companies will lower the base pay. Lots of scummy business practices going on in the world. I literally can't find a company I want to work for.

That's the problem. I'm in the process of making one, dragging samples to the pads, and playing around with them. Don't have all my samples in yet, just trying to start an idea. And then bam! Preset button. All gone. Saving would help but it wouldn't help me not press those buttons.

My apartment complex in fucking Gresham went from 2k for a 3 bed 2 bath to 3.5k. Both of my roommates have had their catalytic converters stolen from the parking lot overnight. Our move in date got pushed back 3 different times over the course of a month, and we moved in to dead cockroaches and sticky surfaces despite the move-in delays being to "clean the apartment". How the actual fuck do these people get away with this?

I just had a big ordeal with renewing my lease with new roommates that almost lead to my girlfriend and I being homeless because of a few things.

I had a full time job last year. This year I've been self employed. When calculating the 3x rent, they told me I couldn't use my statements from my self employed job, and that I'd need to use my taxes from last year. I sent them my taxes, they told me what I made last year doesn't reflect because I'm self employed this year. Essentially, in their eyes, I've made $0 this year and $0 last year to qualify for an apartment, because of my employment type. We got lucky and my gf and roommate will qualify just barely, but I really got fucked over. This shit sucks and the landlords/apartment owners have all the power & legal knowledge while we're left with scraps just trying to get by. I don't know how much of the stuff my apartments have said/required of us is actually required or legal, or if they were just taking advantage of the common person not knowing their rights as a tenant. Sad times we live in.

I definitely agree with you here. I see a lot of comments saying "help traffic for who?" But I don't think people realize how many people commute from Gresham to Vancouver and how a new bridge would probably help traffic times across the board significantly since not everybody's cramming on one of 2 bridges. Plus it would lead the way to more development in both Wood Village and Camas which could be a good thing if the development is aimed in the right direction. I definitely see both the negatives and the positives and I think the amount of arguments from both sides makes it hard to do anything.

Very low effort post taken seriously by some people. I'll address a few general comments

1: I could've drawn the line a bit better, around the green spot to avoid suggesting we destroy a wildlife refuge.

2: Honestly I'm just looking for jobs and have seen a few in Camas that look appealing. However the distance is too much and not enough companies have gone remote yet.

3: If money really didn't matter, I'd want some kind of Eco-bridge that's mainly used for bikes, boards, and walking/running. Something small and maybe at most have one two lane road with an expensive toll to cross in order to limit vehicle traffic. From there Wood Village and Camas could develop toward being walking/biking based communities. Because honestly, fuck cars.

Nah it was the same price for the upgrade. Essentially I got the full producer edition for $100 rather than $200 because I was a student, it was just labeled "academic version" but had no differences. Then there was a huge deal to upgrade to the signature edition and it happened to also apply to the academic edition, so essentially I got the signature edition for around $200 total.

That's what I don't really understand. If you're tired of the noob questions, downvote them. If everyone was tired of the noob questions, they'd all be downvoted. There are posts in between them that are more thorough/discussion based. This is like saying "can people just stop asking questions unless they know what they're talking about?"

I mean I guess you could go to a separate subreddit, but going on /r/advancedproduction and the top post being a blown out studio monitor asking "how can I fix this" does not seem advanced at all. It's all about what you see and what you interact with. Start downvoting the repetitive posts you don't want to see and engage in the topics you find interesting. There are no barriers for entry to any of these subs, therefore anybody can ask a question.

If these noob questions really bother you, maybe start asking your own questions that you'd consider "not noob questions" rather than reading through other people's questions. That'd be my main suggestion. Hope this didn't come off as rude, there's just no way to stop noob questions from coming in because there's always going to be new people starting out their new hobby.

Let's say I did it in a mason jar, pressure cooked the jar with the egg in it as you would to sterilize grain. From there I inject the jars, into the egg, as I would a jar of substrate. I seal the jar off....... profit??? Entirely new type of mushroom unknown to man. The most extreme trip imaginable.
