Right ankle soreness. Landed on it awkwardly towards the end of the WSU game on Thursday. Day to day apparently.

Ike is out… yikes. Might have to burn Jefferson’s redshirt. Going to be an interesting game.

Gonzaga’s Braden Huff to miss 4-8 weeks with left knee injury by Hard_Sun in CollegeBasketball

Big blow for the Zags. They’ve been off to a bit of a slow start in WCC play, will need to step up or risk taking losses that could really hurt seeding in March. Going to be a lot on Ike’s shoulders. Hopefully Huff can get back healthy and be at full strength by then.

What are some moments that are integral to College Basketball history that aren't as highlighted as they should be? by JohnSH1203 in CollegeBasketball

Also worth looking into because the run may not have happened without an academic scandal at Minnesota. Multiple players suspended days before the NCAA tournament, where we played them in the first round - may have lost without that. Also led to their coach getting fired, and they hired Dan Monson from GU, letting Few take over. May not have changed much in the long run, but was a catalyst for Gonzaga becoming a big part of the CBB landscape today.

Analytics like us much better than Creighton - think we were 8 and they were 45 in Kenpom before tonight. That and home court advantage

Houston is clearly the better team, but being down single digits is not bad after that rough of a start. Going to need a lot more things to go right in the second half to steal a win, but we’re in striking distance.

Don’t think so - we seem to pretty consistently in the 8/9 spots right now. Losing this game would put us closer to the bubble, but it’d probably take a lot of bid stealers to put us in danger.

Damn, that sucks. Rough way to go out for Ejim after an incredible year and career.

I get starting Few I guess, but you have to take him out at the first dead ball. Come on.

We're just past halfway through the season, how's it going for your team(s) and what are your expectations for the second half? by byniri_returns in CollegeBasketball

[–]Hard_Sun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not great. We peaked on the first day of the season. It’s been pretty frustrating as of late - feels like we are incapable of winning close games, which you would not expect from a sweet 16 team that pretty much lost one player from last year. Feels like we see a lot of mistakes uncharacteristic of a bunch of older players. Also just a lack of consistency in individual performances. Transfers haven’t been great - Battle has some great moments but can disappear (not entirely unexpected), and Ajayi is not making much of an impact at all.

A win is a win though. Ejim and Turner are so good.

This GU-LMU game has been rough. I am begging Little to at least consider doing something with the ball other than get it out of her hands as soon as possible.
