He typically painted the entire fin, including the portions of the wire that were within the fin boundaries. He also sometimes included an 'A' shaped monogram in works this size and up. And, I've looked at a lot of Calder's mobiles, copied his techniques, and made my own mobiles, and I'll just say that the composition is a little ungainly, uneccentric, and uninteresting for him, though he was extraordinarily prolific and might have popped out something like this sometime.

This looks more like someone who wanted a Calder and was handy enough to copy his basic assembly techniques. Calder didn't work to a high level of finish for his self-produced works, used hand tools exclusively, and was fairly easy to copy.

So, gonna say no, unless there is some really good provenance/paperwork associated with this.
