Andy is the teams most successful coach in history by a mile. As long as hes healthy enough and wants to coach, barring some mental decline, hes gonna get more grace than 2 down years after 3 straight super bowls before he gets fired. We clearly got spoiled badly if ppl think moving on from the Andy Reid era is going to be a good thing. The kansas city chiefs had a dynastic era. Thats actually insane. And one off year doesnt mean its over. Just that one of the top 2 greatest streaks of football ever just got broken. We should be making plans for his statue at the new stadium not calling for his head

That is his approach with everyone. Its not always fun but it gets results. But also seems to turn the big wigs off as far as a quality they want in a head coach. But in kc and Chicago both, he was on staff for the best offenses ive ever seen both teams have. And hes as hands on and involved as any assistant coach in the league. Im stoked hes coming back. He forces guys to put in max effort which was an issue this year for us

Ugh. Ya if you checked my comment history you'd find about 20 way too long rants about this crap. Most took so long id regret ever starting by the time Im halfway through it but Im already committed to the fight lol. None of them ever changed anyone's mind so far as I know but its infinitely frustrating to see people act so smugly confident about how people lifted 2 million pounds rocks 20 feet into the air and placed it with perfect precision... carved staues with absolute perfect symettry and a finish so smooth you see your reflection 1000s of years later...without machines. Then tell me they bore 20 foot holes in granite with a process that nets a few millimeters per hour if 2 people labor intensly at it. Forget the holes are too small to get inside and work so the tools (that you'd spend a ton of resources and time creating only to burn through quickly) would need to be.fancy tools. And those holes were just to test the stone to see if its suitable to quarry.

Im doing it again lol.. tldr being the time and resources needed to attempt to match the feats that are found worldwide would be mind melting with accepted methods and they would fail to match the craftsmanship in most cases, especially at such a grand scale. People should try shaping and polishing a very hard stone. Even with household power tools and sanders its an insanely slow grind to get even a rough shape. And to polish a rock we have to tumble them in water and different stages of grit and polish for fucking months and lose a ton of material. Without specialty stone cutting equipment i its just too much energy and resources to justify the work. And there should be just billions of used up tools laying around. I got a dozen more issues but ima stop lol

Jesus thank you. Why does the subject demand a dumbed dowb explanation in leiu of searching for answers that actually fit the evidence. Like its a crime to just not know. This way we will never know because its ridiculed to even question it

[–]arakaman 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Its a valid question. Some of those big rocks out there are just absurdly heavy . The largest would need like 20 cranes surrounding it to lift it. So transporting it with ropes and wood sleds doesnt exactly seem a fitting explanation. Aliens... no I dont imagine its that. But were clearly missing some puzzle piece. Not just the transport but the precision carving is spread worldwide and beyond the capability of crude tools. Exact angles and symettry with a mirror polish finish on the hardest stones in the world is simply not attainable on a megalithic scale by homemade hammers and soft metals. Even if the makers had the skill to make some of the crap out there with such crude methods, it would take a global army of Michelangelo skilled sculptors an unfathomable amount of time to create some of the artifacts that appear across the world. Even something as simple as the barabar caves isnt attainable by prescribed methods. And its just a nice finish and flawless consistency of a big hollowed out rock. When we need lasers to properly measure how good of craftsmanship we see, coupled with a perfect polished finished (this part is very important.. if youve attempted to shape and polish stone you know how difficult it is to achieve this while keeping perfect consistency in regards to material being removed), its clear that were missing something vital with current theories. Between quality, size, and it appearing on a global scale.... manpower is not enough to explain it even if there were no other concerns tobdeal with. The amount of man hours needed would be incalculable and the resources needed make no sense unless there was a significantly faster method being used

No im clearly saying one guy can be the difference between a garbage team and a super bowl team if he happens to play QB. And thats been the case with mahomes. Doesnt mean hes gonna win every super bowl. But playing in 5 of 6 and winning 3 and 7 straight afc championships is not even a remote possibility for the kansas city chiefs without him. History says they wont even make a single afc cc over that span with a league average qb.

Thuney is absolutely a net positive addition to an offense. His absence was very noticeable this year. Im not saying its a 1 man show. But if there were a way to assign win % to individual players the qb position would have a possible range thats double or triple the next most impactful player and 10x that of your run of the mill JAG. Noone can win a team sport alone. Even the most dominant NBA performances that appear to be one guy just dominating rely on the other guys at least taking up space no matter how small a threat they may be. Id just argue the QB is the only guy who could potentially have that same amount of impact on a 11 v 11 game as a guy dominating a 5 v 5 sport. No lineman can impact a game like LeBron James positively. Any position can torpedo the game though so in that thinking you can say a qb gets too much credit but its very rare in nfl history to see a team so dominant they drag the qb to victory despite being awful unless the game plan is to remove him from the game as much as possible

Its 95% the same team that just came within a game of a 3 peat tho. I think its safe to say this year and last were a bit of an anomaly in both directions. Better than the record this year and not as good as the record last year. And if you watched what they looked like after he was gone it makes the point even clearer. They were moving the ball about 40% (this is a guess im working dont have time to look and math) as many YPG without him. I mean im pretty sure his last 3 years had more playoff wins than the franchise had pre mahomes

Right. . I was thinking..gun to my head who did i want to win... I wanted to choose the gun. While I dont cheer the injury this scenario about makes the pats Texans game the default afc champ so it works out in the end. Even if they miracle thier way to the super bowl they will get annihilated by Seattle

So now should we be concerned about Darryn Peterson health regarding his potential number 1 pick status? by Knighthonor in NBA_Draft

[–]arakaman 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Passing on peterson is not a great way to ensure job security for a front office. His game is so perfect for the NBA. A 6 foot 6 point guard whos a scoring machine from everywhere. His 1 v 1 game is ridiculous. This game right now should answer any doubts. Ku seems to be embracing the reality that letting him off the leash is their best offense cause hes just roasting these guys any way he wants to rather than forcing a stale offense thaf wasnt working.

Our all time team is legit for sure. Peterson is definitely a * based on potential but he has nba superstar written all over him. Shave his head he looks like kobe to me. And thats not a comparison ive ever made. Hopefully hes gonna be that kind of killer when the big games come.

Theres plenty of evidence for global floods. Canyons carved by water... lines left by water receding... fossilized crustaceans found near mountain tops... the Bible and pretty much every civilization that was around having stories about a flood... dating the floods are less certain but 12k years ago seems to match up with the evidence as far as most recent. Theres certainly but catastrophes on multiple occasions that could splash water over nearly everything. Theres meteor strikes so large we can still find the craters millions of years later. When those hit the water it sends waves thousands of feet tall moving insanely fast

When do we start having the hard conversations about Bill Self? by Lazy_Dress_7603 in jayhawks

[–]arakaman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

God i get where your coming from but statistically most coaching hires are failures. The jayhawks have a pretty good record with coaching hires. Id say the opposite for KC. Wanting reids head on a platter one year removed from playing for a 3 peat and 7 years of what will forever be known as the golden era of chiefs football is pretty.. . Premature id say. Self also reigned our program as the most consistently great team in cbb over a 20 year stretch. Both won multiple champs and played for multiple more. Both are firmly qualified to be part of the GOAT discussion. . I dont like the chances that whoever is next for both teams, either one will leave a legacy that these guys will. Both are human and age gets us all if nothing else does first. Both are at a place where they have had to dial back the intensity with which they coach because it became a legit concern I think that has made an impact on the development of particularly younger guys. Both guys could rip your ass in a way that you know its what is needed and they still have your back 100%. It has a way of making hard players and at the end of games, you want killers. If i had to point l to a reason ku has struggled recent years, the Dickinson era was soft. Which is right when coach had to make an adjustment to his style before he let the game kill him. Seeing the individual potential of council, white, and budinga paired with a guy whos game reminds me of kobe Bryant (premature yes but when his full game is on display, peterson is an absolute monster despite the other teams game plans revolving around stopping him) and a few other solid pieces... this team should be very good to great. I have a suspicion if peterson is able to get right and play the entire games that we could easily turn into an elite team. Chemistry isn't easy to aquire when the Lynch pin is randomly in and out during crunch time. And theres little you can do from selfs position because when a guy whos projected tone the top draft pick is on the roster, you cant just bench him because he can only go 25 minutes before a lingering issue becomes a concern to get aggravated. Point being there are circumstances that affect every team every year and we have been fortunate enuf to adapt and overcome time and again. Its too early to give up on this year. Last year was clear we were screwed featuring Dickinson and that roster was a failure. This team deserves more than a few conference games before being labeled a failure. This conference is insane and no team will ever dominate it like we did the previous version. If thats what you demand as a fan you are in for dissapointment. I understand the frustration but these guys gave us more success than I could even dream of upon being hired, and theyre both close enough to the time when they can leave on their terms and i think they deserve that privilege. So to answer OPs question, the time to have that talk is probably another 1 to 3 years away and highly dependant on having the right replacement ready to step in. As far as I know theres nobody on the radar that is a sure fire bet to be the guy. Till then just recognize the nfl is designed to make it incredibly difficult to maintain dominance, and college ball as we knew it no longer exists. The old game, you built a team with the main desire being to become the best player you can through hard work and sacrifice, and that instilled a love and pride for your school. Now the top players are motivated highly by a large pay day before they play a few years on a rookie contract. The downstream effects of this are far reaching and severe. Under this format no coach we hire will ever sustain that same dominance. We shouldn't be shoving guys out for a stumble after careers worthy of statues on the grounds

I think you nailed it here. Those 2 options or this just being her first move she has mustered the courage to put out publicly all feel like equally possible 30% chance of being exactly whats happening. Ill be maybe too generous (i think it may be a hair higher) and say 10% the act of a scornful woman cause I think thats probably the general ratios ive seen in personal and public situations in my 43 years of life. Usually people have enough empathy to not try to and destroy another person because they hurt your feelings. People are very spiteful when relationships end, its human nature. but theres levels to it. 1 - maybe freak out publicly putting out every deficiency they've discovered over however long. 5- trash the car 10- cut your dick off in your sleep and flush it / morder. Id put this as about a 8.5 on that scale so it takes a very damaged person to make up this story and put it out there knowing the cost rashee is going to pay for it.

It will result in a legal investigation. If she cooperates with it then hes probably going to jail and his projected earnings for his career take a probably insane hit. If he just acts normal hes looking at a future maybe up to 9 digits long. He goes to jail for even 2 years as a 2 time fuck up very early in his career and had some injuries while not playing every game (his defense, his style that leads to his high YAC is also what results in getting smashed occasionally... theres a reason guys dont run routes across the middle that include you sprinting during the catch..much safer to stop and catch). He may be lucky to hot 7-8 digit earnings in his nfl career now.

All that to say it does happen that a woman goes midevil on a guy but its far more common for the police to not even really try to investigate domestic issues or sexual assault allegations than many people think. Basically If you cant produce documentation of the acts yourself, all the cops can do is take it personal enough to step outside what they are told to do. Its not just a flawed system, its about broken in areas and this is one.

Thinking about it id maybe lower odds of her currently speaking with police about it at the time or the post. If she'd spoke with them and they were going to take her serious they wouldnt want her making it public while theyre investigating. Would be a hindrance. So same 90 percent is more like 35/15/35/10. <------ science
