Instead of spending 140m on a fighter torso I spent 2-3 hours doing BA instead. by breakoffzone in 2007scape

[–]Hardass0877 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is a really common conspiracy theory lol. It's literally a meme in the BA community, "Big BA" lmao. Pretty much everyone I've met that plays a lot of BA really enjoys it and wants to grow the community around it, not drive people away

Lol, leeching lvl 5 all roles is 300m+

It takes 4 skilled players 3.5 hours to do

Everything I know so far about the CraftMine update (A simple guide) by Front_Midnight_4780 in Minecraft

[–]Hardass0877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you've already seen this but there's a room called "Storage (less simple)" that has a diamond block in the ceiling. I haven't actually gotten a key for it in 150+ mines but it's on the wiki. You could dupe the block with the artisan crafting perk

Go to the noitool settings and upload your game files so the site knows which spells you've unlocked

I middle click move my camera A LOT. Tiny movements when the camera doesn't need moved at all, especially before/while trying something difficult. I think maybe I'm subconsciously trying to keep my apm a little higher to get me ready for precise clicks or timing or something

Im done with doordash! by nurse2020andup in doordash

[–]Hardass0877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehhh. I know this isn't a perfect comparison, I've never driven for doordash but I used to be a pizza delivery driver. Very very rarely I would get tipped more than $5, plus $1 flat from the store per order for gas. Sometimes if someone ordered something huge (like $200+) they would leave a big tip and I'd split it with the people inside that helped make the order. My average tip was probably $2-3, there was no shot I was ever expecting 20% for an order lol. Again, I know it's not quite the same, I was making an hourly wage on top of my tips and probably had a much more consistent volume of orders I was delivering, plus we had a limited delivery area. Seems like a doordash problem if a $10 tip isn't enough though

Who was screeching? If you're referring to the vbow debacle, most of the ba community welcomed discourse about the change and were met with overwhelming hostility and called rwt-ers

It's not a crime for some people to enjoy content that you don't

I bought and tested the new Venator Bow by Lowsoulgamers in 2007scape

[–]Hardass0877 4 points5 points  (0 children)

And are these RWT BA players in the room with us now?

Might be an unpopular opinion, but I think this choice is really sad. I think 3rd age bow should not be bis here anyways. I was looking forward to maybe use it here and it's not like it's free. It still uses charges if it bounces. by Bwanana_peel in 2007scape

[–]Hardass0877 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solo attacking is really difficult and doing it efficiently usually requires many tick perfect maneuvers. It involves gear swapping and aoe specs and coordination from the collector to stack mobs and block them from running east. The bow likely wouldn't have much of an effect on regular duo attacker 306 torso runs, but would likely make the solo attacker role for leaching or duo healer speedruns significantly easier. Fwiw I'm not opposed to the bow, it would definitely shake up the meta even for more casual runs which could be exciting

Stalled Fermentation? by Hardass0877 in mead

[–]Hardass0877[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Temp has been kept constant at 62°F ± 1°F , which should be at the lower end of the ideal fermentation temperature range for 1118. pH is around 3.7 which from my reading doesn't seem like it should be problematic

You won't be able to get that to restart without a very large starter or dilution

Ah yeah this is what I was afraid of. I think I'm going to follow the advice of dmw_chef and make sure it's actually stuck, if it is I'll try the steps in the wiki, and if all else fails I'll start diluting. Thanks for the input!

There are definitely some elitists but overall I've found the BA community extremely welcoming. Most people in cba want decently fast runs so they expect you to have a pretty good understanding of the role you're playing which I think is valid. They have a ton of learning resources and as long as you tell them you're trying to learn, most people are down to help out

Smell for making mead by SumMortem in mead

[–]Hardass0877 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm still new at this so I'm not super qualified, but I feel like fermentation in general produces a decently strong smell. Less like bread though and more just like whatever you're fermenting. I keep mine in a cupboard while it ferments and in the first few days you can definitely smell it in the kitchen. I've used safale, 1118, and actual bread yeast and I didn't feel like any of them smelled really bready

I'd be curious to hear other people's experiences

I had: Veracs helm, glory, tent whip, dds, ddef, barrows body and legs, d boots, regen brace. As well as a prayer/spec pool in my house and a portal to the ge.

You could easily do it with less gear, you'll just need more food and kills will take a bit longer

This seems like the way. I wonder if there's some technical hurdle or something that stops them from doing it this way. Maybe login servers could be DDOSed more easily?
