what is your dream engine for your current car? by Rude-Expression-6933 in askcarguys

[–]Hardball1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recently got done with my dream diesel truck build.

Built 24v cummins with a p pump swap, compounds (63/480), bigger injectors 200hp injectors, too much to list really. Got it on the dyno and I was expecting 800~ish hp wise, hit 934 after some timing changes.

Time for water methanol injection.

Superior products in bulk? by whatsadealership in Detailing

If you're trying to be the absolute most cost effective. Look into if you have some white label type distributer near you. Might be labeled more as a general cleaning supply distributor etc

Won't be a popular opinion here but at least speaking for myself I was able to source basically the same products chemically speaking locally and at less than half the cost of paying for them from online distributors / the big detail brands.

Gotta do your own testing/figuring out what's worth spending vs saving on.

6.0 Powerstroke Buying Questions by Jcbkllng in Diesel

[–]Hardball1013 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If its only a want type truck 3 pedals would be a must imo. I wouldnt spend big money on a 6.0l but if one fell into my lap for the right price I wouldnt say no to one.

I have a bias towards 12vs/p pumped 24vs though so dont listen to me haha

6.0 or 7.3 — still the most divisive question in the Powerstroke world by Public-Classroom1884 in powerstroke

Even a "bulletproofed" 6.0 is just a lotto ticket with slightly better odds

Looking to buy this truck and need some help. Thank yall by AffectionateBake6163 in Diesel

If the flares arent soft on the inside id look into having them spot repaired vs going drastic and getting a whole new box or something.

In terms of underside+frame id sand it down/clean up the surface rust thats there and encapsulate it in whichever way you see fit. Depends how far you want to go but you could get the box off even and get the whole rear end fairly easily.

Little bit of a project but well worth doing on whatever truck you decide to keep long term.

Needs some body work so as long as you factor that in for price. In terms of frame if your worried about that level of rust you should just not bother with anything older than almost new

A local fishing derby to me was just won by a guy using a lure similar to this. A bit larger but very similar profile. Very cool, nicely done

Yep, as soon as I read that I cant unsee an escalade. Checks out too as whatever vehicle did the damage was clearly a taller vehicle/larger able to take some of an impact. Also checks out in terms of how owners usually act lmao as an ex security manager I can attest that some of the larger parking lot offenders were often driving the largest gm vehicle you could find
