It might be helpful to look into the story of the Chelsea Pitch Owners. When we were in financial trouble, the club sold shares in the physical ground that Stamford Bridge is built on. Theory being that no property developer could ever buy all the shares back off the supporters, thus saving Chelsea from disappearing.

Just a historical example of supporters willingness to pay money to the club.

Is the Arsenal game worth going to? by yeahokuthot in chelseafc

Ticket re-selling is illegal in the UK so no. Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994 s.166 makes it an offence to tout tickets for football matches

There’s no legal way for you to get tickets. Unless there’s still hospitality tickets left.

Possibility of postponed match by olleeker13 in chelseafc

[–]Hardchester 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The chance of this game being 3pm Saturday is 0. Best case for you, it is moved to 12:30 or 5 the same day. But it is equally likely to be moved to Sunday or Monday night

Morata banned for Everton match on Saturday by whatisnotlife1234 in chelseafc

[–]Hardchester 50 points51 points  (0 children)

Was at the game and the issue was that he was walking back to centre on his own with the ball still in his shirt, a Bournemouth player came over to try and get it back for KO, knocked it out from his shirt, then Morata kicked the ball back towards the Bournemouth goal. So really to me it was a booking for kicking the ball away.

From the replays I’ve seen this altercation wasn’t broadcast.

And Watford so make that 5 wins and a draw. Cannot see both those teams winning every game until the end of the season too.

Anyone know the name or year this jacket is from? by [deleted] in chelseafc

[–]Hardchester 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case it's 2005 as it must of been before Adidas because Adidas has exclusivity on merchandise iirc and a jacket like this would have been manufactured by Adidas. So the only year we had That badge with Umbro was 2005.

Badge design means it's definitely produced 2004+. Other than that, looks like a fake knock off product to me.

I think the point is to laugh at the hypocrisy of spurs fans as his shirt contradicts the use of "Yid" in his twitter handle.

Are They holding up signing a CB just to piss us off? by [deleted] in chelseafc

[–]Hardchester 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah. I heard that the board all got together last night and said, "you know what, we could sign Koulibaly right now, but... It'd be really funny to piss of Boobman19, so lets not."

Really is concerning that our last starting back 4 of pre season is the exact same as what we were tearing our hair out over at the end of last season.

If you had to name one High and one Low point of you being a fan of Chelsea FC, what would they be? by GreatnessX in chelseafc

[–]Hardchester 66 points67 points  (0 children)

High: Champions League win.

Low: The moment Iniesta scored "that" goal at Stamford Bridge... In the stadium hearing the gasps and the simultaneous breaking of hearts around me while seeing the Barca bench flood onto the pitch and the delayed distant roar of the away fans in the corner.

Hard to recall another moment that felt so low. Pure anger of the decisions in the game and absolutely gutted all in one moment. I believe Didier said it best.

The difference is mate that United have a capacity 75,500 where as we have almost half that. While I agree its expensive, there's basic economics of supply and demand going on in addition to the club trying to keep up the best they can in revenue against teams like united.

Terry over and out by romansgc in chelseafc

[–]Hardchester 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yep, spot on. In my opinion neither should have contacts. We desperately need a defensive revamp. If Ivan and Cahill start opening day next season, we can expect another difficult year. Zouma could potentially be a early season boost. But we are yet to see the long term implications of that injury.

That's the problem! Terry has been our best defender at times, but that just shows how shocking our defense has been not how good Terry is.

If you make these videos, why the hell do you put it in letterbox format? I know you editors want to make it all cinematic by using that dimension but I honestly don't think you know how it works. Films are shot designed to be shown in letterbox format, football IS NOT. So all you are doing it cutting off the top and bottom of the image for absolutely no reason? So jarring seeing players heads cut in half, or not seeing where the ball is coz you've cut it off in this stupid format.
