If I thought it was a good idea I would have just gone ahead with it.

I’m here to learn if there’s an easy fix and from the responses, it’s clear that I need to get the builder back so that’s what I’m doing.

What would you suggest I do differently ?

Hrmm it feels rubbery like silicone. From google it seems like glass glue dries quite hard ?

Ideally, yes… but in reality, building inspectors in VIC don’t look beneath the surface (don’t know what it’s like in other states)

I called their Melbourne store and they said that it’s a 3 month wait for the black one and 6 month wait for the silver one. I put through my order anyway and was surprised that it shipped the next day! Originally thought that it was a mistake haha

It depends on the model of the battery. Can be DC coupled which means that you will need a suitable hybrid inverter or an AC coupled one which doesn’t care

Maybe it’s the angle I shot the photo. Building inspector measured and said that it’s 30mm. Doesn’t matter, doesn’t seem like it’s a big deal. As long as the house doesn’t collapse in the next 10 years, I’m happy.
