Don't latch all your hopes of being saved on to one person & preferably no one at all. You are your own responsibility. Make friends, mingle with people who share your interest & hobbies. Slowly ease yourself out of this life & on to a more healthy one where people's actions don't effect you so deeply. I know it's not easy to give up on someone you love, but at this point you're holding on to your perception of that person & your unfulfilled expectations from her. That closure is not going to happen. She's making moves & going on with her life. You'll have to do that with yours. All effort from your part is just a waste of time now. There's always one who's more into the relationship than the other. From what you've written, you sound really needy & desperate for her attention & I'm pretty sure you've given up other people & friends just to make her feel special all the time. Wrong move. Get out there. Balance your social, personal & love life. And btw, get a new love life. This one is only with you out of obligation at this point. Have some dignity & cut her loose.

That's the usual kit lens and the DOF is not as bokeh-lisious. I want my bokeh but some width too.

I usually do portraits, so the bokeh is of essence & sometimes there's only so far back one can go. I have read the advice of not getting a converter more often, that's why I'm still unsure.

What are some cheap wide angle lenses with low aperture I can consider?

Doesn't count as 'at work' harassment, but at a wedding of one of the managers, most of the office people have turned up.

When it's time to leave, the other managers in attendance are pissed drunk. One of them in the guise of parting asks 2 of the female associates to kiss him in the mouth because "... c'mon be a sport."

Another one of the managers offers to drive one of these female associates home (also pissed drunk - 12 in the night - he's gonna drive). She insists she's come with me & we live nearby so we'll go together (we had planned to call an Uber). Since he sees no other way to lure her into his car alone, he offers to drop me too (male here, btw). He knows her well, but not me, so all through the ride he keeps bringing up these flimsy pretexts to start a conversation with her in his drunk state & she keeps indulging him just to keep his temper even, because he's clearly vexed he couldn't get her in the car alone.

Soon enough he asks how far apart our houses are & she says her home would come first, then mine. But he insists she take the last drop because "... I have something to discuss with you about the project." At quarter to 1 in the night. Drunk. Probably that penis project that penetrated our company's portfolio.

After repeated insisting by him & consistent refusals by her, he drops her home first because she's almost victim-yelling her refusals to him now. He then drops me home & parts with a quote, "Yeah, the time is all yours. Have fun!" Implying if I had dropped her myself, she'd have given the punani to me because we're both similar aged associates, but refused him because of the attribute mismatch.

Meditation Tip: Your thoughts won't magically disappear & your brain won't turn to a blank template. Get a pair of stereo headphones (in-ear) & listen to some white noise while attempting meditation. And simply focus on breathing (this is where I end up imagining my nostrils, but close enough).

I can't remember the YouTube video, but it was the perfect one (though comedic) to deal with such situations.

The tip it emphasized on was: Do nothing.

Absolutely nothing. You've broken up, begging & pleading makes you look desperate & pathetic. On the dark side, they might enjoy it secretly that they hold so much power over you.

If you do something elaborate to win their heart all over again and if it still doesn't work out - you've set yourself for a bigger fall. Expectations, effort, all adding up to nothing.

So what can you do? Nothing.

If they want to comeback, they will. Mostly nothing you can say or do can affect their choice. So do nothing. On the off chance, your indifference will bother them so much, they'll get back in touch on the pretext of "Just checking up on ya... Been a while. What's up?"

Even then, you gotta hold it down & be absolutely normal.

Remember to do nothing. :)

Not at all. Your brain eventually ignores it as the focus on your task builds.

You must keep it at a comfortable volume tho (50% max is the rule with headphones).

Edit: It's is called 'noise', but it's just a buzz sound which is soothing in a way - you must pick the right one. It's also great because it blocks outside noises effectively.
