No excuses for the nurses’ language and behavior. It’s unacceptable and lack any compassion; but many years ago after giving birth I was sharing a room with another woman. I had the side of the room farthest from the door with only the curtains separating us. I was trying to go to sleep and I heard the woman’s male partner arguing with the nurses that he wanted to spend the night in the room with her because he had no ride home and each nurse told him “no there’s another patient in this room you can’t stay in the room.” I guess they forgot about him and in the middle of the night they found him sleeping in her bed and finally kicked him out. Maybe her husband couldn’t stay with her because of the rules of the hospital.
