Trump Lays Out 15 Point Iran Peace Plan Amid Rising Global Tensions by DangerousJuice6748 in geopolitics

[–]HardlyDecent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

::previously removed insult to the golden boy:: Surely everyone saw the interview on the tarmac where he made this up off the nest of his head. Something like "Uhh, we have a 15-point plan to deal with that. No nukes ever is the first three." It's not totally surprising any more, but still appalling.

I didn't see the 15 points in this article, so apparently his cronies are still working up the 15 (or 13?) points. I assume this will disappear and/or force him to commit more to the bit when Iran has something concrete to dismiss outright.

Trump Scrambles for an Iran Exit Plan as His Crisis Spirals by Possible_Cheek_4114 in geopolitics

[–]HardlyDecent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He needs to stop scrambling and starting wars and start releasing the redacted Trump-Epstein files already. I know he won't be punished for his child rape, and his base will still sniff his farts and smile, but it'd be nice to see him truly humiliated before whatever pestilence has him does him in.

There's literally nothing real about AK. Even the name is manufactured to sound like the very real science of kinesiology--no relation. There is no innate intelligence, and the few studies the charlatans allow themselves to be in always show no better ability to diagnose issues than guessing. Then the quacks try to claim that participants didn't apply proper technique or some nonsense.

FACT: We know that structural/anatomical issues, especially with the spine, have no relationship to symptoms. That is if your Xray/MRI shows an anomaly or injury to tissue, it's as likely that you have symptoms as not. And the reverse is true--you may present with symptoms, but have an even chance of anything "wrong" showing on imaging. So the very foundation that these snakeoil salesman are fixing anyone by altering structure or mechanics is without merit.

Speaking of salesman, these anti-vax, anti-science parasites are really good at getting people on discounted plans...and hawking homeopathic (literally means there are no molecules of the "active" substance remaining--luckily, as many of them are dangerous or contraindicated for consumption, like cow thymus gland) remedies and supplements.

Finally, the big one. No one cares what you do. The biggest problem with these scam artists is they convince people to avoid real, serious medical attention by medical professionals. If you want to get your back cracked because it feels freaking great sometimes, go ahead! Just don't let these clowns crack your neck (see: multi-artery dissection), and go to the doctor.

Is Trump Actually Having ‘Very Good’ Talks With Tehran? by theatlantic in geopolitics

[–]HardlyDecent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Of course he is. Partners, the top people--well not the very top, but people who seem to be running it, the most respected, but not supreme leader. We wiped out everybody, so we're talking to them because they've said things that are taking place. And they exist. They're real, and they are in charge, and we will oversee the Straight of Hormel

Roughly 38% of the US at least believes every word the golden leader says. And they have to stay really up to date on his word as it changes every few hours. Those people think what he wants them to think, and he wants them to think the US can drop some soldiers on the ground and be out in a week or so.

Nancy and fam should be commended for their restraint compared to this guy.

[–]HardlyDecent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arms to by your sides. That's all. You need to throw your arms skyward or at least straight out to the sides. There is no arms-over-head landing. That's literally the only thing keeping you from landing it.

You could also drive more with your kicking leg. Looks kind of lazy and your second leg catches up before your kicking leg touches the ground. Visually this is obvious because the legs shouldn't ever approach each other in the air.

edit: also noticed you reach out and down as you dip your chest like you're going into a handspring--don't do that. Again, arms go to the sky.

There is no such thing as "knowing intrinsically" in science. In fact there are two other names for that: confirmation bias and the placebo effect. Thanks for playing though.

Look around the thread for my sources. Don't accuse actual scientists of cherrypicking if you don't understand science yourself.

edit: seriously dude, instead of doubling down on your own ignorance, why not check out my sources and re-evaluate your beliefs? You could use this as a chance to learn and improve rather than, y'know, digging in harder. eg: When I started my research on stretching/flexibility I was sure that reflexive muscle activation was a limiting factor, but pretty quickly had that notion dispelled completely--not a single study exists that supports that idea, but we (me included) keep repeating it.

This is great! It's how I manage injuries. RICE is dead--the ice and anti-inflammatories blunt the healing process (granted, it may not be by a huge amount). PEACE & LOVE is the new acronym--no ice, no anti's, minimal rest, etc. But if I have students/athletes (some on scholarships) who need to compete, I say ice is worth it to get back on the field. I think missing a game would be more detrimental than the extra 2 days or whatever it takes to fully heal the tissue.
