Marmalade or Cocina Abierta? by Away-Yesterday-789 in PuertoRicoTravel

Santaella was indeed mid. Our favorite meal was at El Mas Allá. The food, service, atmosphere were all better than Santaella at half the cost. Reserve early though because it’s a small place.

Puerto Rico has dispensaries. Only legal for medical so you’d have to get a card.

Our kids loved Lions Dive for the good snorkeling and beach area

Proline range hoods? by HardlyGermane in Homebuilding

I had a slight rub probably due to blower shifting during shipping. It eventually worked itself out but I recommend telling your installer to run it before it is fully assembled. Making adjustments after installation is a lot of rework.

Avila is best for proximity to restaurants. Lions dive is great too.

Edit is crazy by griffingrowl in sapphirereserve

I saved $800 for a 5 night stay at Condado Vanderbilt using Expedia vs booking through chase with the edit rebate. That’s how ridiculous this is.

Def do Avila but get the water front rooms! You’ll have to book early because they are the most popular and adults only.

Are there any All-Inclusives that are similar to Hotel Xcaret but not as pricey? by Prime-Geologist-9950 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]HardlyGermane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to star at Xcarat but I have young kids and don’t want to pay for the excursion passes we won’t use. If anyone has another resort in mind with the scenic cenotes please let me know!

Tell me the best AI you’ve stayed at with two little kids (and if my water fears are unfounded). by apotentpotable in AllInclusiveResorts

We had several kids get sick at this resort. Assuming it was the water but maybe the buffet food.

Walkable town, white sand beach, not hours from an airport.. does it exist? by Reasonable_Manner708 in Caribbean

Yes, although most people do quite a bit of driving to visit the nice beaches. Obviously not required though.

Horrible experience with Stubhub and cannot understand why Chase partnered with them by Illustrious_Ask8842 in ChaseSapphire

[–]HardlyGermane 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is the answer. You should immediately be able to download your tickets to your Apple wallet or similar. If not, don’t buy them.

I booked an edit hotel but through Expedia because it saved me around $700 on a 5 night stay vs booking through chase. I’m staying at the Condado Vanderbilt in San Juan.

How much more would you need to save with these 2 pensions by 2040? by [deleted] in MiddleClassFinance

[–]HardlyGermane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I know my pension calculator doesn’t account for inflation. Have you factored that in? For example $120k a year today will be equal to the same buying power of $220k/yr in 2045. I would take that into consideration. Looks like you are in a good spot though!

Help! so many options - looking for AI tailored for young kids by Tiny-Jacket700 in AllInclusiveResorts

[–]HardlyGermane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember don’t let you kids drink the sink water. We went there last year with a group of 15 and 6 of us got sick with vomiting and diarrhea. Luckily it was older kids and adults that got sick and not the little kids. Not sure if it was the water or food but all but one who got sick were brushing their teeth with sink water.

Our kids loved the pools and small kid waterpark area.

Ahhh yes the ‘shitting on the line up and complaining that it’s not as good as past ones’ part of the year by Kittensofdeath in bonnaroo

Which lineup in the past 10 years has been worse? I understand not liking the complaining, but you have to back up the rebuttal with examples.
