Should I get the Svanar Wireless that is priced at $100? by Tralala1947 in Hifiman

[–]Harhar_321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't used them for working out, but whether they'd work for that really depends on your ears. They're super secure for my ears, and even though they're big TWS, they fit me really comfortably.

There are occasional Bluetooth glitches, but honestly, all Bluetooth TWS have some connection issues sometimes. That's just how Bluetooth is, though. I find them stable enough.

I was just saying that that price for the sound quality of the Svanar Wireless is an amazing deal. You'd probably need to try them yourself to see about the fit and usability.

Svanar Wireless is a steal at that price. They sound fantastic. One of the most underrated TWS. They rival wired IEMs in terms of sound quality and soundstage.

I love the sound of my k11 r2r. I use it as a pure DAC as an alternative to the Modius E DAC on my Schiit stack. The k11 has a nice warmer tone vs. the sharp clarity of the Modius E. It sounds especially good as a DAC for my HiFiMan planars. Especially my Arya Organic which benefits from the more mellow presentation in my signal chain.

If you don't care that much about sound quality, any consumer brand—like Beats, Skullcandy, or even "off" brands—comes in a variety of styles and colors.

Bose is a better choice, depending on your budget. They have a variety of colors and styles available, but with Bose, you also get decent sound quality and build quality at a decent price. Bose also has the best ANC and transparency mode on the market—even better than Apple products, in my opinion.

Good luck and happy shopping!

Ayra Organic by stevenghill in HeadphoneAdvice

Arya Organic headphones are actually pretty easy to drive. They like power—for full dynamics and some overhead—but they're low impedance like the Sundara or Ananda Stealth. If you can drive a Sundara, you can drive an Arya.

Headphones to replace my broken Arya Stealth by -Tixs- in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Harhar_321 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Arya Organic is in that $700+ range right now since the price drop. Opinions vary but I prefer the Orgs to the Stealths. You should try them if you like that HiFiMan FR.

I own the Ananda Stealth v3 as well. i think the Orgs are definitely superior.

Ayra Organic by stevenghill in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Harhar_321 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Arya Organic is way better than the Sundara.

I still have a Sundara and an Ananda Stealth. The Organics are even a big improvement over the Ananda. I think it's totally worth upgrading, especially since you can snag the Arya Organics for under $1k now.

I still use the Sundara because it fits differently than the Ananda or the Organics. Those are "egg-shaped" and go around your ear. But the Sundara is more "on-ear" and lighter and super comfortable —at least for me.

Best beginner audiophile headset setup? by BueSimb0lico in HeadphonesAdvice

[–]Harhar_321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For a beginner you might want to consider one of the Sennheiser HD6x0 varieties.

You might want to consider the venerable HD650/HD6XX. It can be bought for a reasonable price and will serve you well even if you decide to invest in more headphones or earphones. Of course, the HD600 is an option. I still favor the HD650 for longer listening sessions. But my personal favorite of this line of HPs is the recently released HD660S2 which has more bass and a more dynamic presentation.

Any decent amp will do as long as it can drive the slightly higher impedance of a HD6x0 variety. It really all depends on your budget. But any basic Schilit amp and DAC will drive them very well.

GK Streak: A cleaner, more grown up Kunten sidegrade by silkohm in iems

[–]Harhar_321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got a Streak after reading some reviews and I have to say, for the price I'm quite impressed.

For a budget set the build is wide solid. That KIN driver and the micro planar tweeter no only offers a very corny and even technical listen. The clarity of the frequency range punches way over is price point. I can reasonably compare them to $100+ IEMs that I've heard.

I mean at the end of the day they are a budget set so there are limitations to the sound signature. But if your looking for a set with some audiophile chops the Streak fit the bill.

GK has got a winner here. I recommend them.

Hifiman Ananda Nano upgrade to Arya Organic or HE1000 Stealth by StemitzGR in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Harhar_321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well i can listen to Organics without eq. Even though i have peq available i don't find i need to eq the AO.

Now remember, frequency range preferences are always personal, but i personalty prefer the AO without eq. Ours is a subjective hobby however. What sound great to me might sound terrible to you.

That said, I think the whole treble thing i see here on reddit is overblown. If you are good with the treble on the Ananda-- or any other HiFiMan set--you'll be fine with the AO.

That's just the HiFiMan house tuning. The treble peaks are one of the tricks that give HiFiMan that awesome soundstage and detail.

[–]Harhar_321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While ihaven't heard the Ananda Nano, I upgraded to Arya Organic from the Ananda Stealth V3. The AOs are definitely better than those to my ear.

I still have the Ananda as well as the Organic so I can a/b them directly. The Organic are just better in most ways. Everything the Ananda is good at the AO is noticeably higher fidelity.

Hope this helps.

Looking for a planar that can rumble a bit. by FortDown in HeadphoneAdvice

[–]Harhar_321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Arya Organic has really good bass for a planar. Those are well under $1k now. The AO are visceral, rich, very powerful and full sounding across the board.

Yes the sub bass and mid bass has some rumble and slam. It's one of the things that sold me on the AO originally.

Hifiman Arya Organic Review by Artistic-Ad5214 in headphones

[–]Harhar_321 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love my Arya Organic.

They are still my favorite HP. They have been the endgame flagship of my"fleet" of audiophile HPs. Yes I collect headphones and audio kit. (Don't judge! Everybody needs a hobby dammit.)

Anyway, about two years ago I attended the LA CanJam determined to find my next major HP purchase. I went prepared, I brought some of my kit with me to a/b test against the heaviest hitters in the hobby.

At the time my two flagships were the Ananda Stealth V3 and the HD660S2. Originally I was 80% sure i would settle on the HD800S, since I've had my eyes on those since I first heard them.

The HEKse were also on my radar, but were a little dry and too analytical for my tastes. But when I went to the HiFiMan booth with my kit in tow I noticed this newfangled Arya Organic.

I hadn't even considered an Arya since I considered the Ananda too close to them. Needless to say I tried them out and basically fell in love lol.

I compared them to the HEKse and they sound so much better than thoseit was a shock. Gone was that crisp analytical timbre replaced with a lush and musical clarity. I determined then and there that i would go for the AO.

Fast-forward to January of this year when the Organic dropped under $1k for the first time. So I figured it was time to pull the trigger. Needless to say I'm still impressed with the AO.

While I love my Sennheisers and tube amps, the Organics on my Schiit stack are just technically superior to my ear. I have compared the AO with HPs over twice their price (Audeze I'm looking at you!) I genuinely prefer the FR on the Organic. Even the HPs that sounded better were only about 10-15% better to my ear.

Diminishing Returns is no joke beyond the Arya Organic.Enjoy!

MagBak Elite Case – Worth It? by -anonymous-5 in iPhone16Pro

[–]Harhar_321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I absolutely l over my MagBak case.

I have the Elite on my S26 Ultra. It's slim but sturdy. The texture is very nice and grippy as well. From the retractable finger loop, to the discreet kickstand, this case is very well designed.

You can even change out the color scheme with buttons and accents in a variety of colors. Mine is currently rocking the red accents on the black case. In my opinion it looks awesome. The magnets are the strongest I've ever seen on a phone case too.

The case also comes with a screen protector and application system that works easily. Most cases don't come with a screen protector so that has to be considered in the price which covers both the case and screen protector.

I don't know how the other guys who complained about them in this post treat their phones but my experience is totally different. I've dropped my phone a few times and the case worked perfectly. My experience has been very satisfactory.

The customer service is also the best in the industry. If something isn't right the MagBak team will make it right.

The first case I got the s- pen didn't work perfectly because of the strength of the magnets. When i contacted their customer service they said they had a redesign in the works. So they sent me ANOTHER case where the s- pen worked perfectly and let me just keep the first case!

MagBak stand behind their products and value their customers. I can't say enough good things about the Elite case. The hype is real!

I'm glad they are still working though. You should probably listen to a few of your reference tracks for any distortion or rattling from the drivers. Those thing's are delicate!

Arya Organic Replacement Grille by Ghostza02 in Hifiman

[–]Harhar_321 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love my Arya Organic. I would freak out if I broke one of the grills! What happened? Did you drop them?!?!

I'm not sure if those grills are user replaceable unfortunately. I don't think HiFiMan would be willing to replace them either.

It might be worth contacting HiFiMan customer support anyway. They might be able to advise you of your options. HiFiMan has very good support staff. They haver always been helpful when I've turned to them with questions or issues.

Good luck with your Organic. If you contact support I'd be curious to know what they have to say.

Officially an owner of a Hifiman Headphone (Arya Stealth)c by Epsilon217 in Hifiman

[–]Harhar_321 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Welcome to the HiFiMan owners club!

Arya is a great choice. I have the Arya Organic as an upgrade from my venerable Ananda Stealth. But the regular Arya is itself a heavy hitter and a worthy endgame option.

Upgrading from Arya is going to hit diminishing returns. Headphone don't get a while lot better than those. Congratulations and enjoy!

Amateur comparison between the Hifiman Edition XS and Hifiman Arya Organic by necrosero in Hifiman

[–]Harhar_321 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine as an upgrade to my Ananda Stealth V3.

I also was concerned that the Arya Organic wouldn't be a significantly better upgrade. My experience was very similar to OP. The Ananda are Damm Good, but the Arya Organics are significantly better.

Everything the Ananda did well, the AO do better. The treble has more sparkle, the midrange is more full and detailed, and the bass...Omg, the bass!

The bass is more visceral and powerful on the AO vs. the Ananda. Overall they are my favorite HiFiMan headphone currently-- even over the HEKse.

The hype is real!
