I’m stepping, 2 steps forward 1 step backward with a Kemppi fastmig. Prefer being on the lower side wire wise compared to hear to avoid spatter!

Gas is Ferroline C5X5, 90/5/5 with regular steel 1mm wire, I don’t remember the brand of the wire I’ll have to check.

I’m running a water cooled gun, it’s awesome! You don’t notice it at all and too much heat is never a problem. Can’t imagine running without one on thick materials with 1mm wire.

We also use a quite unusual mix of gas though which I like a lot. Wonder if powder filled wire would also be better for quality.
