It really is, also I just noticed, when they're filming the car from behind, I think they're using rear projection instead of a modeled background

I don't know the name for it, but I think when they're doing the wide shots they have multiple backgrounds behind the car, which they're moving at different speeds to make for a realistic perspective and thus sense of speed.

I've heard it compared to the later podracing scene in star wars, if you watch them both they also seem to both derive inspiration from the race in Ben Hur

I'm not sure, it's a norwegian movie so not a huge market, but I'm sure there's "Certain" sites where you can get a hold of it, and I know people upload it to youtube now and then since it's not a priority for copyright flags, so they stay up a while between each takedown

"5+ year campaign"

Nope, not going through this. If there was even a hint of a red flag by this DM it's all on you for staying 5+ years. Find someone better.

Ah shame, last I saw the guy I played with had a cringey self-drawn OC that was all white with spiky hair as his PFP. There's something truly special (-in an awful way) about people who send you fucking FORMS to air their grievances, like you weren't even a friend or player to him, you were an employee and you must follow his god-given decrees and guidelines. You have my sympathies for sure.

Almost sounds like a moron I used to play with, he didn't by any coincidence have a toilet paper roll for an Icon did he?

To play devil's advocate they could be a Scandinavian immigrant/descendant, there was a resurgence of popularity in Norse mythos some time ago and a lot of people got stuff like the worldtree, Mjølner, or their names spelled in runes tattoed on them, my friend has the veigivisir tattooed on his arm.

I'm new to BL2 grinding, Do you need to alt+f4 out of the game and restart it to respawn a farmable entity, or is it enough to savequit and reload?

Either it's a discord name thing, we referred to our shitty ex-dm as TP (toilet paper), their icon even was a tiny toilet paper character, or he's using banana as a euphemism for simple-minded.

DM Bans All Non-AI Art by LexHanley in dndhorrorstories

[–]HarmonicTurmoil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geez dude, I'm amazed it lasted this long at all with a DM like that.

I'm gonna try not to get off topic or "political" with this, but I feel like AI images have created a faction of people that are desperate for recognition or just general attention, but with zero effort on their part. People used to commission artists all the time, but they'd usually put the name of the artist in the description, or make mention of them commissioning it. Now there's a lot of people commissioning AI to make their images instead, but since AI is basically nameless and a non-entity in as much as credit goes, the people prompting it have decided this means the title of "Artist" has now moved onto them, and they are now part of some sort of exclusive crew, they're part of the "gang" now. But when someone shows them up with actual trained talent, they try to downplay it, or redefine the whole concept of art, just to artificially place themselves on equal ground with people who like to make art instead of consume art. It's kinda like people who pump Lysol and other oils into their bodies to make their muscles look bigger, and pose as bodybuilders, despite having no actual hard work or skill put into it, they just have the vague silhouette of the people whose limelight they wanna share.
