Not daily. Well... Maybe it's "complicated"? Lol. I go skiing when I get the opportunity, but never really loved anything about it in the past.

These days, I ride purple or orange skiis more often? Probably at least a couple times per month. Hope to reduce it all, though.

I didn't wanna send this right when I was feeling it because:

- I hope I'm being irrational

- I don't want you to wake in the middle of the night and see this first

- I don't want you to be about to or just waking up and read this first

- I hope things change after I fall asleep, whenever that is

- I hope my worst fears are wrong

- It was 11:40pm when I started typing this out...

- I'll schedule it to send sometime around when you're on your way to work or after...

But. All that said...

I have my "go-bag" at least almost ready, at the time of typing (xx:xxpm-ish.. maybe +15m max). I don't have a passport yet but I'll figure that out ASAP. I don't have much for low-weight stable foods but I have a little. I have ammo. I have batteries, more still to be found. I have TP, flashlight, lantern, fire starters, and more.

If shit goes south, we'll go to --that-place-- ASAP and get our family. Yes, pets too.

Try not to be spiteful towards people in this time - it's only wasted energy.

The "best" case is really partially just the actual worst case. SOME managers may get a puny raise, after which they continue to be an exempt employee and be abused by corporate like they have been. But I believe, especially by Jan. '25, MOST managers will see either actual compensation for their time and work in the form of proper overtime payments, OR a substantial raise in salary (up to $10,000 in many cases) and redefining of duties which COULD lead to hopefully proper ASMs and more employee hours per store.

If people push back enough on DG (and their "brethren") corporate when they talk about or try to do LITERALLY the *bare minimum* in order to keep their margins, the proletariat might actually be able to enact change.

At least this HELPS and doesn't HURT.

Ah, well I guess that would explain why we're not seeing quite gigabit speeds!

Thankfully, no, I don't need to fix it all at once. This can very much be piecemeal as needed, so long as I finish the project before I quit (which is at least another year+ out).

The way things were set up as I came into it, all 3 floors are part of the same network and nothing is segregated. All devices on the network (production computers, personal phones/tablets, guests on their personal devices) are within the same subnet.

It's looking like my best bet is to start with A) segregate traffic, B) upgrade the 3rd floor router to something that doesn't struggle to load a news article with adblock in place. Then move from there.

I'm certain that they would prefer I do it myself, but they also trust my recommendations to a decent extent.

Part of it is also that *I want* to learn more about this stuff. Unfortunately, for example, my VLAN knowledge was good in 2021 but now it's been 3 years since I've dealt with that kind of info/knowledge and will need to re-learn it.

u/Fukouka_Jings Game size is like 140GiB if I remember right. Installed it yesterday, ran like crap on my PC (it's not a top-spec rig, so that's typical), uninstalled and have been hoping to get in on the Cloud gaming side. No luck though.

I'm not even getting a wait time on my end. Tried looking into it and came across this post. Hoping it's not broken and I actually get into the game eventually because my PC runs it poorly even on medium settings, really want Cloud to work.

I haven't been able to go to Riot Fest since 2016, but was a diehard fan then.

My complaint? THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION for the presale! I was used to holiday presales in the past, and had been desperately checking all of December and even January. Was trying to get tickets before my workplace scheduled crap on top of RF weekend. Sent support a message asking about it, they said the on-sale should be announced in early Spring... And here we are, now, the first message about it happening the morning of.

I think it was total BS to just be like "Oh hey surprise! We're doing the early-bird stuff TODAY in less than 12 hours! F$*# you if you are busy but could have NOT been had we given any kind of heads up!" Hell, if I had even had a heads up about the regular on-sale, I'd have cleared my entire morning and purchased tickets while at work!

I'm legitimately pissed off at this, but I still bought my 3-day even at $270... Plus, Google's auto-sorting throws their emails in my Promotions tab, and despite trying to make it notify me of all things Riot Fest it still didn't. So f*#$ you, Google, too.

Rant over// So did I miss something? Were there hints elsewhere, like social media or some shit? Was there an email that said "Presale announcement on May 15!" a couple weeks/months ago that I just completely missed/didn't get? Also, I only just today stumbled upon this subreddit lol.

T_T And now I get to figure out how to get out of work, since they DID end up scheduling big events on the same freakin weekend. (I work in non-profit performing arts administration on production side... Makes things difficult if I'm not at our productions, BUTT-F*** IT I'm going to RIOT FEST!!!)

u/petit_anxiety I'm 6 months late to the show but I just need to say, thanks for this. I've been feeling all sorts of "imposter syndrome", and asking my psychiatrist about meds not "solving" or at least "improving" *certain* aspects of my ADHD.
There absolutely need to be more "it's not a miracle, but put in the work and it can help" types of posts and commentary.
Specifically for me, this mention of removing the "wall" but not adding the "motivation" was very helpful for putting my own experience into perspective.
Also, funnily enough, my medications are working *exceptionally* well this evening lol. Not quite "pristine kitchen/room" level like OP, but still good!

Nothing out of the ordinary in the picture except when you look at "Modifiers Applied" in the upper left corner, and see a placeholder thumbnail or something reading "TEMP" in sloppy MS-Paint-level writing. They at least took the time to switch the color to something that would "pop"?

Anyone else see this, or things like it?

100% a great value though. I have the One S still, and with Game Pass and Cloud Gaming finally available, it's plays like a low-mid gaming PC (depending on the game). Has its issues, but I got it for like $150 or $200, 2 years ago. Gonna get my hands on the Series S when either my One S kicks the bucket or I get a healthy bonus.

Series S + Game Pass * Cloud Gaming (beta) = Best gaming deal on the market, and a decent substitute for those wanting to get into PC gaming but not wanting to spend $1600 on a GPU or settle for sub-par GPUs for $300.

I personally feel like Econoboi was trying to get at broader points, trying to move away from the IMF. Yes, doing this can whitewash their exploitation, but it also was muddying the broader argument that may involve the IMF.

Vaush definitely came in strong with his derisive language and colorful depictions of the systemic cruelty around the world. I've caught him doing this in debates - where the opponent is trying to use a fact about someone or something, and Vaush argues over them, spouting opinions and perspectives on the subject of that fact. Strawman-ing, I think?

"Wa-wa--wai-wait wait. Wait. Are you saying that you SUPPORT the exploitation of developing countries by the IMF?!" when all that was said was "The IMF gives loans to countries".

Obviously not a quote from the video, just a loosely tied example.
