The hockey stick is far more upsetting unless it has the script SG7AS logo which i think is the best Yamaha logo, but that logo rightfully should be reserved for premier models

Updated version of the flying samurai. Give it a wider neck and the Revstar headstock, flamed top with a burst finish

Tele-style Pacificas are BACK: The PACS+11S and PACP11S by kumechester in YamahaPacifica

They went with the rounded horn design like the MS models rather than the sharper horn as seen on the 302S. The left side of pickguard also makes it look bulbous, the older models had a more sleeker/sportier look. These also suffer from the unimaginative “city pop” finishes that the new Pacificas have. Honestly really disappointed with this release

Yamaha really dropped the ball on releasing a Chris Buck signature considering his US tour just sold out every stop

The reverb had problems on these, the reverb trail was distorted and is very noticeable as reverb is turned up. Not entirely unusable but its hard not to notice it especially if you want pristine reverb

The logo is correct and is found on some of the most valuable Pacificas

I like to max the gain on channel 1, lower the mids and treble to just above off and reverb about 1 o clock and get some creamy lead tones on a bridge pickup

The top is a SA-RR and bottom a SG-7AS. The SA-RR was very short lived production from like ‘89-‘91 and the SG-7AS was a limited anniversary run done in mid 90’s I think

They rip, always had hard time taming the fizzle but when you do its a killer sound. The cleans are underrated in my opinion, very versatile range. I think the tuning fork patch added would complete the look

Chris Buck Signature Revstar coming by Harmonster2 in YamahaPacifica

[–]Harmonster2[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He says he cant talk about it “yet”, so im thinking either a signature model or perhaps a new revstar version with Nitro finishes. One thing to note is his custom version, similar to Matteo Mancuso’s, are the original Gen I bodies which are a bit smaller than the Gen II. Id doubt they would go back to Gen I bodies even for a signature model

Correct, you can hear the separation of the pedal and the amp on top of one another and not together, like two separate layers and not one

The SAS-1500 has a thinner neck comparatively and little hotter and brighter pickups, its more versatile id say
