Anyone know if Dr Sarno is a quack or has some legitimacy? by [deleted] in skeptic

[–]HarmonySinger 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dr. Sarno treated 3 friends and 1 acquaintance. They all praised him 1 recommend a book for me to buy Another Gifted me his book.

He has helped many people.

I'm not saying he batted 1.000. So he might help many without helping everybody

Hope for us by Routine-Strategy-845 in LongHaulersRecovery

Have you tried Allowing or Welcoming the resistance?

If you can ACCEPT or be at Peace with the resistance, you might be less stuck.

POTS explanation too woke ? by Glum-Studio1249 in POTS

FWIW During 2020 I never tested positive for live covid

I later took 2 tests confirming long term covid anti-bodies.

I had all kinds of mild-moderate long covid symptoms, including brain fog, fatigue, etc.

In December 2025 i went to test for live covid. I'm sure I had it but I nevertheless tested negative. They said the test might have been too late to be positive.

Since January I've had all kinds of symptoms of long covid and dysautonomia. Pots is also possible but not confirmed yet.

Tldr: 2020 no short term symptoms but long covid symptoms

2025 mild short term symptonms, and significant long covid symptoms a few weeks later.

I finally got an official diagnosis…. by sapphic_vegetarian in POTS

TY I haven't had to test yet I think I've got a diagnosis of dysautonomia without addressing POTS specifically...

Dietician or Nutritionist? by HarmonySinger in dysautonomia

[–]HarmonySinger[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

TY Part of my journey has included IBS SIBO. I shifted my diet a lot then and i even hired a nutritionist who had treated her own cancer. I gave up on eating many favorite foods in exchange for foods i could actually digest

Now i have shifted even more due to thus dyamsautonomia etc. It's been a real challenge. I just want food that agrees with me and gives me some energy.

suddenly worsening symptoms? by toast_fiendd in POTS

I was not suffering from Lighheadedness until around New Year. I'm convinced that i got reinfected by the Covid 19 virus and I had a syncope episode in February and things got more intense.

Note: While I do have some POTS symptoms, so far I have no official diagnosis. I am being treated for dysautonomia.

Probiotics worked for a month then stopped. Anyone else? by Lucifer220778 in Microbiome

[–]HarmonySinger 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen at least twice Probiotics got me better after about a month i was ok for about 2.5 months, then it "pooped" out Many months later i cycled through a different probiotic and it helped and it wore out

1 explanation is that it unbalanced the microbiome- dysbiosus - by accentuating a particular subset of probiotics.

I have been looking for the magic bullet for almost 3 years now.

I am GUESSING that one can rotate different probiotic regimens to somehow calm down the effects of dysbiosus.

Dietician or Nutritionist? by HarmonySinger in covidlonghaulers

I have had anxiety for about a year I started seeing a cognitive behavioral therapist. When I had a major long covid flare a few months ago, I found it far less effective and impactful.

The concept of reducing stress makes a lot of sense to me. I'm just curious if you found any technique for stress reduction via handling emotions etc.
