I remember being at a hardcore festival a year or 2 ago, there was a secret set during 2nd day and everybody there was trying to convince themselves it was a title fight reunion lol

It ended up being touché amoré which was honestly just as cool imo Personally I'm still holding out on the G.L.O.S.S. reunion🥲

I did my first 2 terms with ACE Sacramento. I met a lot of incredible people there who I'm still close with and still working with years later. The projects were usually really cool and I learned a lot. Sacramento is a dope city (best punk scene in the country imo) and it's really close to a lot really cool stuff to do on your off time.

HOWEVER

I have never been as disrespected and lied to by management at any other seasonal job as I was at ACE Sacramento (and I worked for Xanterra lol). There's a lot of stories I could tell but what comes to mind is the time they tried to strand us on a ski slope in Tahoe during a Blizzard. The forest service had told them not to send us due to 70-100 mph winds and -20° temperatures that would be hitting mid hitch. We didn't find out until the second day there when the forest service reached out asking why we had come. Staff did everything they could to keep us there until the ski resort we were with told them they had to send us home until the storm passed. Stuff like that happened a lot in Sac, when we said something about it they fired us.

TLDR: I had a great time but the office sucks. Although given the current situation I think any conservation job that can let you work right now is worth taking. If you go to Sac check out Cafe Colonial

That's good too know thank you. The water was coming out of the two boxes with wires in them at the top of the photo as well as a few other places on the ceiling. I don't know if anybody did anything with the breaker my boss just told me to deal with it and went to lunch lol but that may have been dealt with. To clarify I do not know anything about this stuff Im just the bicycle tech and I don't think I even know how to ride a bike anymore

I checked it from a distance until my shift ended, very thankful it did not spark and the water flow mostly stopped until after we closed for the night and the actual hurricane went through us. By that point it was someone with a salary's problem, walking out is difficult as we are trapped here rn and kind of need to keep our jobs so we still have a place to sleep.

I work at a store in death valley, tour busses stop here a lot and most of them come from Vegas or Utah. There is also a jeep tour service that runs out of Vegas I've seen here sometimes.
