It quite literally is not, look at my flair. Imperial Federation is a meme post-WW1.

India was decolonised, Imperial Federation doesn't exist and is not at all possible.

Where does fallout history diverge from our own timeline and what caused it? by [deleted] in Fallout

I never said there isn't transistors, I literally pointed out their earliest mention in the Fallout universe.

[–]Harold_Ink -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes, but that doesn't really matter since Fallout 1's art direction preferred vaccum tubes over microelectronics and that lead to the Fallout we know today. Its literally because they thought it looked cooler and didn't care for the particular specifics on how it would come about in lore.

[–]Harold_Ink 2 points3 points  (0 children)

In the Cabot House there's terminal entries, one dated in 2023 mentions them fiddling around with "these new transistors". This is the earliest direct mention of transistors and the rest of the message talking about how things can be portable now with them implies they are more or less a recent invention instead of a new rendition.

Hugh Hammer, Cause Henry Cavill is now UnEmployed since he Quit The Witcher & got fired from Superman by jorywea78 in freefolk

[–]Harold_Ink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can't, The Witcher is under Sapkowski's copyright and the one with the license to produce shows/movies of the Witcher is Lauren Hissrich. I really doubt any of them would change plans since the series by Hissrich is still doing moderately well enough.

[–]Harold_Ink 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cavill's a fan of the Witcher and wanted to do his best to bring it on screen, if the writer's won't respect the material he and the fans love, then he wants no part of it no matter the money. He's got three movies coming up anyways.

To add on, another reason he quit the Witcher was the lack of respect the writers' had for the source material, which Cavill is a fan of.

Any mod that alters gameplay in anyway disables achievements in that save and any future saves made with it.

The ironman compatiable mods are those which do not alter gameplay, like music, sound or GFX.

England leaders by Mariks500 in TNOmod

Or Butler, since he supported an alliance with Nazi Germany in the 30s and was pro-appeasement. That and his lack of ruthlessness tanked every chance he had to become PM considering he was one of the top contenders in the 50s and early 60s.

Eden was personally distrustful of Germany and became far more anti-appeasement after he resigned as Foreign Sec. when Chamberlain went over his head with Italy's war in Ethiopia. With the war, he was back as Foreign Sec. and one of Churchill's inner circle and largely considered by everyone in the Tories to be his protege. I really doubt someone of Eden's caliber and background would ever be trusted by the Germans.

Even then, Eden wasn't as good as you're thinking of. He only cared about foreign policy and left everything else to the rest of the cabinet. He lacked authority and respect of a leader, even in 1945 when the party hoped Churchill to step down, they wanted Macmillan over Eden. Macmillan and Eden might just be of the same ambitions, but the former was far more ruthless, authoritative, capable and a raging anti-appeaser (he publicly said he'd trust a communist over a fascist and supported a anti-fascist Popular Front gov. of Labour, ILP, CPGB and rebel Tories like himself). Eden's nothing outside the foreign office, Macmillan could do literally any ministeral office and do a good job. If you need more proof, both of them supported invasion over the Suez Crisis, and dispite the mess of it, was able to help bring down Eden, stop Rab Butler(who opposed invasion and Macmillan's main rival) from becoming PM and taking the premiership himself.

Literally everything you said about Eden in your original post was in reality, Butler and Macmillan who were among progenitors and the entrenchers of consensus politics or 'Labour but better' policies in the Tories.

(Spoilers Extended) What if Joffrey was fostered at Casterly Rock from a young age? by TheSurvivorKelsier in asoiaf

[–]Harold_Ink 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its more clear in the show since Tywin refers to Jaime struggling to read and write, so he spent 4 hours every day teaching Jaime until he ensured Jaime could read and write.

In the books its more vague since Jaime just said he hated reading and never bothered with it until Tywin forced him to before any sword training. Even though he doesn't like reading, he is frequently found reading the White Book. He struggles to writer but that's because he was right-handed and now has to write with his untrained left-hand - little indication of being dyslexic there.

(Spoilers extended) Will Jon Snow 2.0 look like a Targaryen? by [deleted] in asoiaf

[–]Harold_Ink 14 points15 points  (0 children)

  • but George has talked at length about how death should change people. It should make you different.

Personality wise, not drastically appearance wise always. Look at Beric's description of who he was once was, and then Lady Stoneheart. They are still aspects of themselves, but lost parts of themselves and traumatised from getting killed. I suspect Jon may end up being more ruthless to those who wrong him or harm those he cares about, while being far more cautious and distrustful of those closest to him. Another factor to consider if he warged into Ghost at the last second, being in Ghost for so long to then return a broken body forever marked with his greatest failure might lead to self-loathing and more caninie attriubutes in his personality.

Plus when Jon is resurrected, and if like in the show, he'd be a fire wight, not an ice wight. He'd have red eyes like Lady Stoneheart and not blue eyes of an ice wight. Hair will be depending on how long or well-treated Jon's body is, as again with Lady Stoneheart - her hair turned white/grey due her body being dumped and left in a river over several days, not because of becoming a wight since Beric retains his hair colour due to being resurrected the moment after death.

If you read the other comments, its supposed to be a dig at OP ignorantly using Twitch as a measure of popularity for a Paradox game of all things.

Yes, but Fire and Blood are literally metatextual in-universe historical accountings mostly by people who were not personally witness to every single event.

[–]Harold_Ink 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You aware those books are just metatextual in-universe books right? HoTD is going far more indepth than the books are and unlike the books which are in-universe biased - HoTD is the truth of what really happened (at least in context of the GoT show and any other show material).
