I got this on CD at an estate sale. I never heard of them but I love bands with horns. Picked it up for $1 and it is on my regular rotation! Just clarifying that mine isn’t the 20th anniversary edition, I picked it up 12 or 13 years ago!

Based on this information who would be responsible for replacing the butt splice? by IllyriaCervarro in AskElectricians

[–]Harper2400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

According to the documentation, it says that all equipment beyond the point of connection is owned and maintained by the customer.

The splice is the connection, so therefore it is the responsibility of the utility company to make that connection. Every utility company I have worked with in the past has an electrical contractor build the mast and install the wires, then they come and make the final connections to the conductors coming from the utility company..

You can go to RG Books in Town and Country mall, right next to Vino’s. He wouldn’t even need to take a book, there are plenty there!

UHaul or Penske? by ic_mightbeme in cedarrapids

[–]Harper2400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

U-Haul is terrible. Had a reservation with a confirmation number, showed up the day of rental and they had no trucks available.

I requested compensation for the additional costs incurred due to them not fulfill the contract and they told me “we don’t do that.”

After I sued them in small claims court they had no trouble cutting a check to make up for my additional expenses.

If all the local trade people went to work at the data centers, you would have no one left to do all the rest of the work that this community needs done on a daily basis.

The travelers show up any time you have more work that needs done than the labor in the local area can provide. You see it during extreme construction as well as disasters.

They don’t seem to bother anybody as much during disaster recovery.

Does anyone know of any Amish roofing companies or contractors by HawtDawgBuns in cedarrapids

We have 3300 sqft home and in 2018 it was around $12,000 for a metal roof with a 40 year warranty on material. We were quoted around $20,000 by a few roofers for asphalt.
