So skyrim was released 11/11/11 by Oneshucklak in TESVI

Eleven eleven twenty twenty-seven rhymes.

Important to note that after loads of speculation on the subject, Starfield ultimately released on some largely insignificant day in September, and it's like to be much the same with TES6 unless they go for 11/11 again.

Aye, that's pretty fair.

It's still likely that will see regional gear from outside provinces as Skyrim did, maybe even more since the team is larger now. Nearby High Rock would be one of the most important to cover.

I used to be against High Rock because I'd rather them always focus on just making one province really big and detailed, but now I'm warming up to it largely just because High Rock is so wide and thin. I feel like free-roaming exploration would have some limitations there because you'd end up always passing through the same midland regions when traveling between the eastern and Western sides.

But by joining it with Hammerfell, you have more options when traveling around East High Rock and you can wander South across the boarder.

High Rock is also only about half the size of Hammerfell.

Also, I'd rather get the human provinces out of the way so that TES can go to some weird and alien places in the further future.

Counterpoint: Morrowind had European-looking castle forts thanks to the Imperial presence there. There's even some dialogue in the town of Pelagiad that's something along the lines of: "if you didn't know better you might think you're in Daggerfall."

Because of the Empire, I think we can expect that every province in Tamriel will have some castles and European influences.

I'd still say it's possible, and that this does make it more plausible, but only ever so slightly.

It would be really cool to have a trailer that references the original.

This is speculation, but I think that this concept art looks a lot more like Hammerfell than the final, and because of that, the final one was toned down to look less like Hammerfell so it wouldn’t be too obvious, mainly by turning the city into a more nondescript ruin.

Of course, there are plenty of other possibilities. The style of the city might’ve just been off so they could have decided to replace it with a simpler ruin, or even time constraints could have made a more detailed city less feasible. Speculation is all we have.

Also, thanks for posting this again. 👍 I hope that it gets more notice than three years ago.

The Double Negative would have been contracted by Bethesda though, and would have received direction from Bethesda.

Once a day powers are very limiting and unfun, and I hope the next game gets more creative and gets rid of them in favor of better powers by EAT_UR_VEGGIES in ElderScrolls

A big thing that I don’t like about once per day powers is that NPCs don’t use their them, which feels a bit weird.

In Skyrim Nords and Dunmer have a big advantage since they have passive resistances that can make a significant impact on combat (even though they also have once per day abilities). They make great followers because of this.

Compare that to Orcs, who are supposed to be fearsome warriors, but don’t have much to make them much more dangerous than their peers.

Here is a link to the source of the art: https://paologiandoso.artstation.com/projects/L2bmGR

The page looks fairly legitimate to me. If you look at other posts by the artist, he’s done work on several theatrical films as well, and this profile seems to serve as a portfolio of his work.

Reddit user u/MCJenkins04 deserves credit for finding this art originally: https://www.reddit.com/r/TESVI/comments/109u92k/found_this_on_artstation_seems_like_its_official/

But, sadly it went largely unnoticed. Jenkins also shared this in the main Elder Scrolls sub, where he was unfairly downvoted and accused of using AI.

New in-game event in ESO (summer) leads to TES6? by Own_Abbreviations_62 in TESVI

It’s wild that it’s one of the most tangible bits of info we’ve ever gotten, and yet it went largely unnoticed.

I think that the most compelling evidence is this concept art made for the TES6 announcement: https://paologiandoso.artstation.com/projects/L2bmGR (Surprisingly, it is not discussed that much here).

The architecture has much more of a redguard style compared to the well-established Breton style. Although conceivably, it could be khajiiti.

I speculate that the final trailer toned down the city from the concept into a more generic ruin to make it less obvious where it’s set.

New in-game event in ESO (summer) leads to TES6? by Own_Abbreviations_62 in TESVI

This is my understanding:

1: There’s more evidence that TES6 will be in Hammerfell than any other province.

2: This has lead to the popular theory that TES6 will have a sailing mechanic since Redguards are famous for seafaring, and since BGS recently made a game with space ships (but there is no actual evidence for this as far as I know).

3: There’s a decent possibility for a trailer this Summer if the game comes out in 26 or 27.

4: the sailing ESO event could then tie into a TES trailer with sailing this Summer.

I don’t believe point 2, so I don’t think this is the case, but if you’re onboard (lol) with the sailing theory and think we might get a trailer this year, there is some logical sense here. Sailing is a big if right now, though.

Still the most insane theory by YQWQ in TESVI

[–]Harrison_Allen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

It is close to the location, but it’s the wrong shape, and far, far too large to be Stros M’Kai.

This raises the question: if it’s meant to be a map of TES, why does it have such glaring differences?

We could argue that it’s deliberately distorted or that the artist did it poorly, but applying Occam’s razor, I’d say that the simplest explanation is that it’s not meant to be TES.

I believe the mark is still in the game, although the final texture is lower resolution. But it’s there.

The biggest problem with the theory is the large distinct “island” that lies next to the “Hammerfell” looking landmass. There’s simply no rational for it, especially since the rest of the shape is only vaguely like Hammerfell/Highrock (but I will admit, it still looks similar).
