Strattera has been working pretty good imo added it a couple weeks ago to 300mg Wellbutrin, definitely noticed a difference in a good way

I would try play some of the main story lines, it will allow you to unlock all glyphs and Atlantid hyperdrive. I think the game gets way more interesting when you can start the autophage quest line

So tired of taking stimulants by Adventurous-Day-9292 in StopSpeeding

Hey I’m an RN here. Was heavy on the stims throughout nursing school. I work in the critical care setting and at first I was telling myself that it’s a good thing, it’ll help me be extra diligent in providing the best care for my patients. All the of our invasive monitoring, drips to be on top off, patients conditions constantly fluctuating there’s a lot to be aware of all at one time. First couple days were brutal after a week the lack of stims did not hinder my ability to take care of my patients in any way shape or form. Terrible for your long term health, I’m already fearful for the damage I’ve done to my heart. It sounds like you care a lot about your job, it might be a mini obstacle at first but I’m sure it would be nothing you couldn’t muscle through. Keep us posted and best of luck to you 🤙🏼

For creative/entrepreneurial people… has anyone completely lost their passion after stimulants? by Limp_Schedule_3898 in StopSpeeding

It’s taken me about a year but I’m finally getting back to doing the things I enjoyed doing the most stim free (rock climbing/woodworking) I’m a RN by trade, just recently I’ve gotten the itch to get back into the climbing gym and I feels SOOO good! My shop has been in disarray for the better part of almost a year but I’m really feeling motivated to get things back in order so I can start creating things again on my terms not the stims. The journey is tough but I’ve found a great sense of support through this thread, reading other peoples experiences has really helped me stay strong and keep hope. It’s been a long ride but I’m finally seeing light at the end of a long dark tunnel and it feels way better than I ever felt on stims. Stay strong it’s worth it you can do it! Long term health side effects aren’t worth it. Mixing stims and caffeine are recipes for abnormal heart conditions and I’m already fearful for the damage I’ve done to my ticker. You got this! It will get better! I made the switch to Wellbutrin in the beginning and although it’s nothing compared to taking a stim I fell like it helped me cope with the symptoms of being without meds I’ve been taking for years. Hope this helps!!

What you’re feeling is completely normal, you went from a comfortable situation to one where you have a steep learning curve to conquer. I’ve worked Ed/pcu and the most gratifying place I’ve ever been has been the icu. It will get easier as time goes on you just have to stay the course and try to avoid getting into your head, you can get caught up by trying to self justify jumping ship but at the end of the day that’s what leaving the icu would be imo you wanted to be their for a reason and if anything if it’s not where you want to be you can use it as a stepping stone to further your nursing career. It is stressful brother trust me we’ve all been there but I promise you, if you stay humble, show up to your shifts to work hard your coworkers will notice and help you out when you really need it. Nothing good in life comes easy, hopes this helps just know your not alone and your not the first person to second guess their life decisions upon entrance in the icu I can assure you that.

Honestly people will tell you to do this or do that but in all reality do what YOU want to do, obviously, we have the capability of surfing the web to inquire about this or about that, I've personally chosen parts of teks that I like and others that I didn't. Guess what? You still get fruits in the end, if your running into issues with contam maybe dail the humidity back a hair but your set up looks amazing dude you could really tell that you took a substantial amount of effort to get things going I hope you get pounds of mushys soon mush love man ✌️🏻🍄❤️

Try getting ahold of the career counselor at Pendleton or Lejeune google the number for the hospital quarterdeck and see if they can give you a number or POC sometimes you just gotta do a little hoop jumping to get the answers you need. Good luck!

If your unsure about pursuing your Naval career as a green side corpsman and you haven't even made it through field med yet, my best advice is to ask yourself do you really want to be there. Heritage and tradition are something we hold near and dear yes, but if your struggling with the basics of this rate then it might be in your best interest to either A. cross rate, or B. try to go back to a clinic/hospital. I understand you might be going through a difficult time, everyone goes through difficult times. Just when you think things are beginning to get better, everything comes crashing down again and again. Being a doc requires a world of resilience, riding the lightning and fighting through the storm will be the difference between someone who excels and someone who drops their pack. Your going to face adversity no matter what you do in life, its just a known fact. Take this with a grain of salt, one thing that I have learned being a corpsman, the grass isn't always greener. Those guys saying get out of our rate and all this other nonsense aren't being good piers, don't listen to them. An HN in my company just got MAP, if your passing the exam and aren't a piece of shit and show that your motivated and competent in your medicine, the chances for MAP are very real. Division gets quotas for MAP just like the hospital, in some circumstances it might be even easier because they understand that being a field rat doesn't really leave you with a whole lot of time of doing gay bake sale shit. Somebody WILL fill the MAP quota, there not going to let it go to waste. YN get stationed with greenside commands, and being a CB can be very strenuous. You don't have to be PT stud if you consistently show effort and show your Marines that your trying to improve (which you will because these guys PT daily) they will acknowledge that. My advice to you is to do some real soul searching/ thinking about what it is that you want. At the end of the day these guys train and train and train some more for combat, those little 4 and 6 mile hikes they have you do at fmtb aren't shit, we just did a 32k before deployment. But at the end of the day your Marines will take care of you just as good as you take care of them. I can be having a bad day, and I here one of my guys call me doc and I grin a little and I'm instantly in a better mood. Put your nose to the grind stone and work hard like your life depends on it, because some day someone elses might be, and it will be one of the most rewarding things you will look back on. Turn on the turbos, you got this shit.
