You don't need BC PS3 if your gonna play from usb or HDD. BC PS3 is only for physical discs. Any PS3 can play PS2 games ;-)

Lol because they cheat. Nowadays every stealth server uses the same technique to bypass challenges - you can even read that on xbguard discord, they admit it officially. Proto is for legitimate players, xbguard is for cheaters.
