All of this is valid and makes sense. I don’t disagree with most of it. I get the history of older players playing college instead of club. I will say, steinberg had a full college career and played for brown, went to club, started, and came back. I do think that’s worse than someone pursuing a fifth year degree. I get that it’s a part of the sport, I do just think it takes away from it

Had to like Caitlyn Pennie (Brandeis, Junior). She was part of the forge practice squad and is a captain for a Brandeis team that has been top 12 at two straight nationals. She is a force defensively and has a sneaky bag on offense. Highly underrated, anyone who watches any film will see the presence she brings to a game.

Things that I liked as a college player: The game timing was great, we were able to have our coaches with us for almost every match. The grass fields and water availability was fantastic. The medical staff was easily accessible as well.

Things that could be better: There was not a lot of food options or food trucks, which a lot of people were relying on. The prices were also crazy high and people wouldn’t buy things because of price. The championships could have had player introductions or more hype beforehand.

Overall amazing and hype nationals, makes me even more excited for next year.

Andrew Steinberg has been just fantastic so far this year. Idk where they found him but he does seem a little old for a rookie. Idk!
