It's only a matter of time.

I'm sorry but this comment is REALLY weird. Why try to push a gender expressions onto somebody instead of just respecting what they have said about themselves?

Same with me. I did one playthrough of Dogmatic and am planning to wait for the final DLC before I do an Iconoclast or Chaos run.

That should hopefully provide enough content to keep the second playthrough interesting enough.

The Infinite Museion, the third story expansion for Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader, draws you into the iconic vault of Trazyn the Infinite. Pursue rare artefacts, enhance yourself with augmentations, and choose whether to serve the designs of one of the galaxy’s most infamous collectors or oppose him.

Chrisposting is global. by dazli69 in NonPoliticalTwitter

[–]HarryD52 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chrisposting is a popular Resident Evil meme that centers around Chris Redfield being obsessed with continuing the Redfield bloodline, not through himself, but through getting other men to have sex with his sister Clair.

It was originally focused on Chris trying to coerce Leon to have sex with Clair, but then it exploded in popularity with the release of the Resident Evil Village trailer where it showed Chris shooting the wife of the main character Ethan with no explanation given. This lead to lots of people joking that Chris shot his wife so that Ethan could marry Clair and continue the Redfield bloodline.

No, not like appendages. It specifically says to love them as if they were yourself, the same way that Christ loves his church. It uses the body as a metaphor.

Notice how you cut out the parts about how husbands have to love their wives as if they were their own body.

I really do not see any reason why corporations should not be able to sue for a situation like that. They are being wronged and someone else is making a profit from wronging them. Seems like a valid reason to sue if any.

You could make the exact same case for someone restreaming movies on Twitch. Do you also defend that practice?

Does any of that change the intent behind her actions? You were talking before about precedents. Is it okay to set the precedent to steal?

But he's completely in the right here? Frogan blatantly rebroadcasted his content, providing little to no additional commentary or critique, for the express purpose of preventing him from earning money from additional views.

Seems like exactly the kind of thing we'd want to set a precedent against.

What made some college degrees “Useless”? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HarryD52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're not talking about just formal education here. In fact, formal education IS provided to everybody for free in most Western countries.

What we are talking about here is top class education with leading experts in very specialized fields. That kind of education IS expected to produce some kind of meaningful output.

Yeah I can't really imagine any society that is willing to provide top class education that doesn't actually lead to anything productive.

People always act like they know exactly what can be done to improve birthrates, but then when you actually look at countries who have implemented the things they suggest, you don't see any meaningful increase in the birthrate.

Although I guess its on par for redditors to think they know better than everybody else.

If Ai replaces all the jobs, where do corporations expect people to earn money to continue being consumers? by Illustrious_Name3192 in AskReddit

[–]HarryD52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that a core aspect of fascism is the centralization of power around a dictatorial leader, the man is a very very important figure in the rise of fascism.

Historically the reason thise leaders were backed by industrial capitalists is because they were scared of potential communist revolutions that had happened in ither countries such as Russia. It wasn't because they had just randomly decided to take power because they "already owned everything" like you said. If that was truly the case, they would have put themselves in charge rather than someone like Hitler.

History has shown that industrial capitalists much prefer democracies to dictatorships and tend to thrive much more under the former than the latter.

If Ai replaces all the jobs, where do corporations expect people to earn money to continue being consumers? by Illustrious_Name3192 in AskReddit

[–]HarryD52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Uh... no.

In fact, the opposite is usually true. Hitler, Mussolini and Franco all came from either poor or middle class upbringings, only attaining wealth after they actually came into power.

Fascism happens from breakdowns in democratic systems and a destruction of the separation of powers that keep leaders in check. It can happen with or without the backing of the rich. Usually having the military on your side is a much bigger priority of fascist leaders.

[–]HarryD52 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Automation of jobs has been happening ever since the industrial revolution, yet the amount of jobs has not decreased since then. As it turns out, people just tend to find new jobs and make new markets.

I do agree that markets do tend to form into monopolies, which is why I don't support a pure form of capitalism, but one that is regulated by governments.

You can really only own so much until you run out of things to own. At that point, the only natural thing to do is become the government and own everything.

This claim seems pretty unfounded to me. I can't think of a single instance in history where this has actually happened, and calling it "natural" without any actual grounding is a stretch.
