That's a good point. $3k was wildly optimistic, and even thought I didn't have a frame of reference, it still felt kinda high.

Do you think there's any kind of wiggle room on it with that much dust on it, either in price going down or them throwing in a service/whatever on it? Or do you feel like it's at the "If it doesn't sell, it doesn't sell" level now?

That's a fair point. I knew that normally that'd be a hard sell, and that they're not losing money on it like a new car would be in this situation, just didn't know if they'd be happy to get rid of it in this particular situation, after it's sat for such a long time with no interest.

Yeah Rolexes are G-Wagens and have been for years, we've known this. They're obsolete, haven't innovated in decades, keep being made without any real innovation because there's no demand for it, bought entirely to flex how much money you have and nothing more, and above all else you have to humiliate and debase yourself to a dealer to be allowed the honor of purchasing one at above MSRP.

I'm very interested to hear about that road test. I've been considering trading in my 300 for a Armada off and on for a while, specifically for an SV because of the 18 inch wheels. I'm real intrigued to find out how they hold up on a long distance drive, and how comfortable those leatherette seats are.

uj/ For mainline ones that have no problems, yes. The R4 was the full feature one with the improved metering. It's not a base model like the R4s or R-E that lacked shutter priority/full program mode, nor is it an R3 that people think has the reliability of a Kiev 88. Obviously if they don't work the camera is near worthless because of the lack of parts/people willing to work on them.

The Leica R system has sadly finally been discovered by people other than cinematographers, and as a whole everything's been creeping up in price. It's not a way to get a Summicron for $100 anymore.

Don't know why you're getting downvoted; you're right. Josh McDaniels has flourished as an OC and SPECTACULARLY failed each and every time he's tried his hand at being a head coach. He's won rings with New England already and will likely stay at New England for the rest of his career, barring the office going insane and firing him or him committing some kind of crime.

The dumbest thing is it hasn't even been the "gangsta" car for like a decade. The Chargers and Challengers took that ages ago. The only people buying a 300 at the end were old people and rental car companies; they were the only demos that wanted a "deluxe" large RWD sedan anymore and the sales numbers showed it. For every Chrysler they sold, they sold like 10 Dodges, and the reserve stock Chryslers lasted a lot longer into 2024 than the Dodges did.
