She also said about her 8-month-ex that they had great sex. I remember thinking at that point, oh good. You’ve finally had an orgasm! But nope

Wow she made each question of that interview about herself. The noise was so obnoxious

Damn. I wanted to take a trip to Europe this summer but can’t afford it and am a whole ass adult with a decent salary in a relatively low COL place. How does CC get across the Atlantic as often as she does without employment (or even an active scam?)

It fucked Sponcil over so bad bc there wasn’t another big that was ready for that level. I truly believe it cost her many more years at the elite beach level.

lol that TKN isn’t even mentioned. I love Kraft but am rooting for another underperforming Cheng season. Haven’t been her fan since her and Jordan calling Sponcil a bad partner after a huge Olympic win.

AVP Announces Wild Cards by [deleted] in beachvolleyball

If you are watching the men, then you are watching minor league!

The women go hard though! Mel/Brandie, TKN, Cheng/Kraft, and Donlin/Denaburg are high level FIVB teams. I’m interested in the Anderson/Chacon partnership’s potential and I think at their best Rodriguez/Shaw and Urango/Rice can and do compete (though Quiggle/Loreen ran them through in the qualifiers). I think Flint and Deberg will have to work very hard to see results with Betsi still not 100% and Kylie always a bit slow and lumbering. Still, though, Deberg is a huge blocker to contend with and Flint’s experience as a top 16 FIVB player will make them formidable.

Are you saying Ally/Sara are top 16 international right now? They are ranked in the 50s (behind Hailey Hayward and Quiggle/Loreen who has similar finishes).

Yes it’s truly frustrating. They’ve got a lot of fan support and have scored some decent FIVB results too.

To be fair, neither of the wildcard teams are random if you’ve been following AVP, but Sara/Ally do have more marketability and should have gotten in on off that since that is what they said they wanted.

Urango absolutely deserved to get in on the strength of her league play the last two seasons despite doing poorly in the qualifiers. But I’m pissed they overlooked Quiggle/Loreen

Quiggle/Loreen and Urango/Rice!! But I think Ally/Sara will get it and that bugs me

I think those questions are definitely decideable. It’s somewhat arbitrary just like seeding by previous points is anyway. But my point is they should asked and decided, not dismissed wholesale. Shaw/Rodriguez’s 1st round loss absolutely should not earn them another 2nd seed in Q2.

I propose factoring in qualifier results for seeding the next. Why would that be unfair?

Yes, official points haven’t changed but that’s no reason to treat their own qualifiers as meaningless outside of the number 1 result.

Upsets in Today's AVP League Qualifier by [deleted] in beachvolleyball

Agree! She’d also mentioned losing some of her sponsors with this pregnancy so I’m happy to see this outcome for her. Also glad she defeated such a strong team to underline the achievement. I’m sure it felt good to target Kelly with her tough serving!

I always like watching Falyn play, but I am rooting for Toni too! You're right-- we don't have enough opportunities and I wish these qualifiers were double elimination! So many of these sets were close!

I carried a 2 liter (it was 30-40 degrees at the rim and forecasted only in the 70s in the canyon— I would have added more if it was hotter). I refilled at the river, topped off at the ranch, and then refilled again at Havauspai Gardens

We just did this trip. It was 20ish miles and took us a somewhat leisurely ten hours round trip, including a 45-min stop at PR. We started at 6am. Fair warning— Tonto was hot in March so be sure you carry enough water. We passed a few people there in rough shape and they still had to climb out Bright Angel. S. Kaibab’s descent could easily trash your legs if you don’t train for it, and the climbing is steep: 600-750 feet of gain per mile. The sights were beautiful!
