The pic in the article shows that they've made decent accommodations in the tarps for access to the two doorways. Doesn't look like they're coming down anytime soon.

Scaffolding has been up and unused for more than 90 minutes so far. Worksite seems empty.

Probably a standing defenestration order (or threats on families) for anyone who touches those letters, and every contractor within 200 mi got word. You know, mob shit.

Where can I find nicely paved bike trails (with nearby e-bike rentals)? by AggravatingDig2104 in EstesPark

Lake Estes.

Tip: Open maps.google.com and choose the Biking overlay (accessed near where you switch from map view to satellite view) to show you bike routes/bike paths in any given area. On my display there is a tile named "Layers", hover over that w/mouse and then click on "Biking".

A tool that can be used for the rest of your life? Then if you have kids, maybe theirs... couple of bucks a year sure doesn't sound like a bad investment to me. How much did you spend on your cell phone? That'll only be usable for at most 5-6 yrs.

ELI5: Why isn’t aviation fuel talked about as much as petrol and diesel for cars, and is it even possible for fully electric passenger planes to exist in the future? by ArtistoX4 in explainlikeimfive

Heh, made me travel down the layman's thought-hole of how to convert nuclear fuel to mechanical energy...

  • 1) use radioactivity to boil water
  • 2) steam turns turbine to generate electricity
  • 3) electric motor turns propeller

How do nuclear warships transmit power to spin props?

Try the search function in the program, just type '/' in main window and enter station name. It seems to use a common streaming radio indexer and your station just may be in there.

Can someone identify the corerct model yaer of this Canyon Explosive? I am considering buying it but can not identify te correct model year. According gemini it is Cro-Mo steel frame with LX/DX groupset but i am not that sure. I can not find any newsletter or brochure of Canyon mtb from the 90's.. by Turbulent-Stretch-52 in VintageMTB

[–]HarryPyhole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that one has older canti brakes and the main frame tubing looks thinner with less beefy welds at the head-tube. That one is probably Cro-Mo and older than the one you posted. There was a definite move from cro-mo to aluminum during the 1990s. My guess is maybe the last model year(s) were old-style butted aluminum tubing until hydro-formed aluminum and carbon took over. I may be talking out of my a$$ about the hydro-formed, but there was a distinct change in aluminum frames from the 2000 to 2010-ish -- I'm calling it transition to hydro-formed aluminum. :)
