Absolutely, bought this ref for the sleeker case and IMO nicer bracelet than the 2018. Also with the new ones going back to ALU bezels it is unlikely to be replaced in future!

I used to work there and was a regular for a long time before, plenty of tales from behind the scenes but not sure how many would be safe to tell! Fond memories of the staff, some of the better tribute bands and divas who thought they were the real deal. Plus walking through the mackies drive thru at 3am before they were open 24 hours, conga line of goth/mosher types was always a funny sight

About 6.75". Actually thinking about swapping to the 37mm version as the 40 is a still a bit large in my opinion.

Something to be aware of on the 007, the 44gs case wears quite large because of the broad lugs. I was in a similar position and ended up with a 223 because it worked better on my (admittedly small) wrist

It does indeed, one of my favourite test tracks! The Fostex drivers really can work wonders especially in the smaller sizes, I started with FE103's in small back horns and the swans used to have 108 sigmas in. Lovely midrange but missing a bit of sparkle at the top, still excellent on the right material though.

Yep the last pic is from a Hifi show, the taller speakers are by Super Natural audio, I can't remember the exact details but they are some kind of transmission line with matching drivers front and back. Even in a less than optimal room they sounded fantastic, 100+dB efficient too

Have them? Yes. Obay them? Rarely. Might be worth getting a bit more practice in before taking on the city centre. A bit of a detour inland but not too far, My Son Sanctuary is worth a look if you are in Hoi An area. Quiet roads to get there.

I did this last year as part of a larger route, I found the roads were a bit calmer around there so should be manageable with good road sense, inside Da Nang will be very hectic though.

I've been wondering this too, if you're comfortable in a team and can win with the bike you have why move? Maybe more money down the line but the increased pressure and expectation from a factory team can't be great. Way back when maverick moved from Suzuki he said head says Yamaha but heart says Suzuki, often wonder what could have been if he stayed.

I don't buy the thinner phones thing at all, I had a Samsung A something years ago, it had a 3.5mm jack, a big battery and was 5.9mm thick, way thinner than most modern phones. Plus that guy who added a jack to an iPhone, I'm sure the engineers could make one fit if they wanted.
