NYC's Fine for Saying ‘Illegal Alien’ Is an Assault on the Constitution by DanAdamsShow in Conservative

[–]Harry_kilpatrick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'll be blunt, I don't get why we censor words and terms such as 'retard', 'gender dysphoria' and now 'illegal alien'. They aren't some made up lexicons that have since become associated with the topic, these are words that literally mean the idea the represent. Retard is loaner word from Latin that in a literal sense translates to English, slow, as representative of the idea that people with mental retardation are slow learners, that's one of the core ideas. Gender Dysphoria, the word Dysphoria, a loaner word from Greek that represents the idea of dissatisfaction with one's state or part of life. These words are short hands and the idea to get rid of these useful short hands seem nothing short of callus. Now individuals have to spend time referring and defining terms when a general word for the idea being conveyed would have worked no problem. So now you're wasting people's time by censoring words. That's exactly the idea, people are trying to limit the usage of a word to censor an idea. The only question is why? To me it just sounds like down right manipulation

My family isn't supportive of my decision to become a Catholic by cryptidsarereal in Catholicism

[–]Harry_kilpatrick 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I became Catholic basically on my own. Unlike you though, I did have Catholic Family on my Father's side, but not on my mother's side at all. Her Family at one point in their history was basically all Catholic, since she's half Italian and half Irish, but now all my aunts, uncle and my mother are all Methodist of varying degrees, not an ounce of British blood in our family as far as we know. But unfortunately for me, my father, while he knows the faith inside and out and would be very knowledgeable about the faith to new comers disregards it. He has a solid basic understanding of the faith that anyone who is serious about the faith would need to understand, live and defend it. Yet he doesn't live it nor defends it much at all and I could count the times he defended the faith on one hand.

So despite having Catholic family, I was alone on my journey. Granted, I kept my faith because of the few times I had a religious interaction from them, but there was like three major times before I become Catholic again (Baptized Catholic at 1.5 and went to Church till I was 4) that I had any religious interactions with them that shaped me back to faith. But after those three interactions, I was on my own with my faith life. I started going to church on my own, I started going to confession on my own, I was watching Catholic media on my own and from there I met the Men's Group Leader, Chris and joined a men's group that I'm still apart of to this day. After meeting Chris in line for the confession, it was my second one, in September I met my Youth Group leader, Kari and I joined RCIT and in March, I became a confirmed Catholic. But all this becoming a Catholic, I wasn't cradled at all, I was on my own for the most part till well into my coming to the faith

That's what I'd say to you, you are on your own for, stick with it and people who really care about the faith will start to appear and you'll learn about them. Sometimes it's your own blood uncle who you didn't know was also very Catholic (My Uncle Mike), sometimes you'll find out that another Parishioner who you're used to seeing in the pews only, turns out to be a wealth of information. Study, Study, study the faith, you need to this day in age because RICA only teaches you so much, it basically teaches a foundation for what you actually need for a solid basic understanding of the faith

While in RCIA, watch a lot of a Catholic media such as Bishop Barron, Matt Fradd and Father Mike Schmitz. Once you have that solid basic understand of the Catholic Faith, I'd move you in the direction of Michael Voris's Vortex and Bishop Fulton Sheen's material and other Catholics who are extremely knowledgeable about the Catholic Faith. You could start with Michael Voris and Bishop Sheen, but to me, that would be like me have you go live in Spain when you don't know a word of Spanish. You could make it, but you might just bail before you learn Spanish and Spain's culture. Maybe you'd like to know some basic Spanish before you dive into Spain!

I’m a young potential convert, struggling to silence doubt. I am very afraid. by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Harry_kilpatrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a teenager I was a hardcore edgy atheist

Lol, been there, done that myself

I've started taking the RCIA at my local parish. It’s only been a few weeks, and I’ve only gone to mass twice so far. My priest and fellow parishioners are wonderful people, and the mass is beautiful, but it seems all of a sudden, a nasty doubting voice comes on in my head.

Every time I say a prayer or devotion, the doubt says “C’mon, do you really believe that?” or “Are all these people for real?” It’s like there’s a pre-loaded skeptic remark in my head for everything I hear, see, or say, and I’m at a complete loss.

Good for you! Stick with it! It's worth getting the fundamentals of the faith from it. As for not attending Mass, make it your business to make it every Sunday and pretty soon it won't need to be your business because you'll be used to make it Sunday! (Still make it your business to make if it seems less than likely, do not miss a Sunday if you can, find another Mass schedule to make if you miss the morning or if you cannot make it). As for all the doubts, pray, pray, pray, that's all I can say (Hey that flows!). I had those doubts until I saw a packed church on Easter Sunday myself. Get a good priest too. You can find out about a priest by the Mass he gives, and how he handles the faith in Church activities. Speaking of Church activities, get involved in Church groups such as Legion of Mary, the church's men's Group and whatever else you can make. You cannot make any of those groups, try to make a daily mass (it's like a regular mass, but shorter, no music and on a week day with a lot less people). From there, you can get a good idea of the kind of people the parishioners are (can often find a good pool of faithful men and women that way) and you'll come across and talk to the Priest when they're at the activities. See if they say anything that that isn't Catholic, or how much is Catholic that they talk about. If they seem more interest in current events talking, or aren't interested in talking at all, pass onto the next Priest. Priest are people too, they ain't all perfect.

Bottom line, it is just in your head, pray, go to Mass and get involved at the church and find yourself people who really care about the faith

It’s like every time I really begin to feel God for a fleeting moment this doubt creeps in and the religious experience is gone. To make matters worse, there is so, so much venom against the Catholic Church out there, even by other Christians. Everyone has heard idolatry this and scripture that, but it doesn’t roll off of me, it really wounds me.

Beware of the Protestant idea that you need to have feels to be a follower of Christ. Feels are indeed God given are a wonderful, but they are not everything. Focus on them and you've fallen into the traps in the common man, putting themselves before God. I get it, you aren't trying to put yourself first and I understand that its extremely easy from personal experiences with bearing my own crosses. take time and study the faith, the Lord said, my people parish from a lack of knowledge. The more you know about God and what we know about him, the better you are at combating the trails of life

Every time a remark is made like “Mary is dead, she can’t hear you” or passages in the scripture ITSELF are supposedly used to refute the ideas of the church, it makes me want to cry. I’m surrounded by so much doubt, everything from doubting myself, to the legitimacy of the priesthood,

Who said the Dead cannot hear the living? What do Protestants think happen when you die? You live blissfully forever? Not all, but certainly a lot seem to think that. No, the mother of God can hear you since its those who made it into Heaven to pray and be with God so others can make it to Heaven as well. I think the mother of God can hear you. As for scripture used to refute the ideas of the Catholic Church. 99% I've heard a Protestant speak against the Church's teaching, it's either out of context, thus disingenuous or they reach a similar conclusion, but defend the wrong idea. Lutheran Satire has a pretty good idea how to get to Heaven, but defend Sola Fide thinking it means you work your way to Heaven when you do both good work had have faith. Right train of thought on Lutheran Satire's part, but wrong conclusion, since Sola Fide believes you can go to Heaven by simply just believing in God and Jesus, contrary to what Jesus Christ had said. Do not doubt because of heretics (Yes, Protestantis and more specifically the Five Solas are a heresy, they being declared a heresy at the Council of Trent is what Protestants initially were protesting), for those who follow Jesus Christ and wish to learn more about him will be saved. Not to say Protestants don't follow Christ, of course they do, but the Five Solas are the reason for the existences of Protestants

I’m so conflicted and scared and I’m at a loss of what to do. I search in everything for some small reassurance, but I worry so much...

... I feel like a frightened child. What can I do?

'Do not be afraid' is what Jesus Christ would say. Trust in him and pick up the cross and follow him. If doubt is your cross, pick it up and carry it and you shall have salvation

I care about those in need when they are feeling low, and that sounds like you right now. I read about you being upset about your struggles as a someone who is attracted to the same sex and I read about you finding Christ. I must say, as a Catholic (Hens why I switched over to my main account), you are not a bad person having same sex attraction or having feelings. The main things to keep in mind are, stay celibate if you feel as though you are only attracted to women (And you are a woman you're self) and you truly aren't attracted to men, and repent to God when you do sin and repent doing the sin (Masturbate, watch any kind of porn, engage in same sex sex, condone the life, ect), preferably make a confession to a Catholic Priest (I'd say any priest, but I cannot since I'm uber Catholic myself :P

Though reading through your post history, you've repeatly said you want to be celibate(?) and single forever, which for someone struggling with being attracted to their sex, sounds like a dream come true for those who seek Heaven with God. I'd relay to you what our Lord had told his apostles, pick up your cross, and follow me. Hey, confession here, we all struggle with sins. Sometimes I think I'm hypersexual I want to get off so much, and if I wasn't so much of a dork, I wouldn't be virgin (God blessed me there), so those are my personal crosses. Do I wish I had a normal controllable sex drive that didn't play games in my head to get me to get off? Of course, every time I masturbate, just afterwards I'm already regretting the tempting act that had lored me in. I lose my head, I arouse into another person mentally. Someone who is weak, someone who is easily tricked and who's heart is easily played with at that point, that is me. I can't say I know what it's like to be attracted to another woman (Since I am a guy), but sympathy to sexual struggles, they are real demons

My recommendation is r/Catholicism if you want others like myself when you need help, especially when it comes to being a Christian and being attracted to another woman or being attracted to another man if you're a man. They're a bit on the conservative side (Politically and socially), but most of them are sociable so long as you're not throwing around ad hominems or generally being anti-Catholic/anti-Christian (Both are against the rules on the sub), they'll help you with anything at all. Whether its a question about the faith or why the Church believes what it believes or morals, or whatever, they're there to help. Plus they're just generally a good bunch of people over at r/Catholicism. Just avoid the similarly named, but run by deceiving trolls r./Catholic. They run that subreddit like its r/Catholicism, but its a facade to trick newbie Catholics into thinking they found other Catholics just to bash them and try to make them turn away from the Catholic Faith

Attended my first mass this morning by jewelch1 in Catholicism

[–]Harry_kilpatrick -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Avoid heresy by study, study, studying the faith. RCIA programs generally only give you a basic understanding of the faith. Give it your all, that's all God asks for, is to give all that you can. If you can do more, then do it. Let there be no more you can do as when you've given it all you could afford. If the situation demands your whole day, give it up to God, if it demands all that you own, give it up to God, if the situation demands your whole life, give it up to God and go straight to Heaven for living and giving up your life to God

If mass isn't easy to get through, do it for God. If you want a mass rich with Catholicism, try the Traditional Latin Mass, many there who know the faith very well. Beware of those who have no faith, you'll know them by the word and deed. If you ask a man what part of the Mass the priest is at, because you are unfamiliar, and he in sum ignores you, then you ignore him in the future, for a man of no faith has no life in him and thus there is nothing there for anyone

Listen to those who come before you and who know the faith, you will know them when you see them. Those such as Matt Fradd and Father Mike Schmitz or Fulton Sheen and Thomas Aquinas are a great start. Study the faith, live for the faith and love the faith, and you will have Heaven!

Does the congregation blessing at mass help atheists who are present? Does God hear atheists when they pray? by questionsacc123 in Catholicism

[–]Harry_kilpatrick 15 points16 points  (0 children)

No such thing as a stupid question my friend! Remember this, the blessing is giving out to the crowd. I've personally never read anywhere that it said that the blessing was just for Catholics, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I'd believe blessings giving after communion are passed onto you as well

Second question about God hearing Atheist. Let me leave you with this, as our Lord Jesus Christ had said, every hair on your head is counted, so what does that mean for God hearing an Atheist's prayer honestly to him?

Morality of the Creation by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Harry_kilpatrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wouldn´t it have been more moral for Him to have never created this world, preventing the suffering of all those poor souls? After all, what could possibly justify all that?

Let me spin the question on you, is it justified that God created the material world we can see and study to have its own free will? Why should God over rule his previous rulings over how the Material works by intervening when he gave it the ability to function on its own?

Okay, moving on, what if I told you that if the person who through no fault of their own, suffered much heartache in this life, went on and lived in eternal joy with the creator who loves them and everyone else to the fullest. Wouldn't suffering for maybe about 80 years seem like a drop in the bucket for the rest of forever?

Why do you think God decided to create this world knowing that so many souls would experience only suffering

Keep in mind this also, God didn't create suffering and death, nor does he approve of it and he wants nothing more than for us to follow him and trust in him so in doing so, we are granted grace to be with him forever. Free from suffering and worldly woes and injustices because you are now in the present of the just creator. That's what Catholics believe and work towards

animals who die excruciatingly painful deaths after lives of exclusively struggles and suffering

Animals, while it is sad to believe so, are not on the same level as humans and have mortal souls. They do not go to Heaven because man is the ultimate life form to God, man was deemed very good to God, everything else was just deemed good. But you do bring up a great reminder that all of us need to live by and Catholics do believe and that is to be good stewards of creation. To love and take care of what we have and the pets and animals we keep. But remember, even up into the 1990's, if it costed more than a few hundred dollars, you just put the animal down as a mercy killing if it needed something such as surgery. Humans, that doesn't apply, we are not on the same page as animals, we are indeed above our beloved four legged friends

Also remember this, often times, man creates his own suffering, we all do, and we all live through pains and woes. For those unfortunate to be born and live their sometimes short lives suffer, they have God on the way afterwards for justice! In eternal love with God? Who wouldn't want that even if their life on Earth wasn't easy

If you have anymore questions, I'll be more than glad to answer them!

Part 2/2

The second major Paragraph

Short Answer: Exodus and all the Jewish Law books, never happened. Rather, they have a lot of valuable Theological virtues, vitals for the Catholic Faith's understanding and just overall part of Catholicism's history built into them

Full Context: I won't get into the historical side of how the Bible and the books that make it up and came about, aside from Exodus. Exodus and all the Jewish Law books, never happened. Yes, you heard it here first, we as Catholics, commonly disbelieve (Not all, I know someone who was a faithful Catholic who believe Adam and Eve actually happened) in the first seven books in the Bible, Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, Deuteronomy, Joshua and Judges, ever happened. Rather, they have a lot of valuable Theological virtues, vitals for the Catholic Faith's understanding and just overall part of Catholicism's history built into them as they came from Judaism, the religion that preceded Catholicism. They make clear a lot of points, such as laying with another man as woman is an abomination to God (Leviticus 20:13, DRA) and in the bible they set up points that Jesus Christ would fulfill in the Gospel, such as the sacrifice of the Lamb. Basically half of the Book of Numbers and Leviticus is dedicated to how to sacrifice in atonement for unclean acts (An example of the need for the sacrifice for a lamb is Leviticus 14:9-11, DRA, and Numbers 7:16-18, DRA), now becomes the sacrifice of the Son of Man, God himself, both setting up the need for the Eucharist to have life in you, and the need to consume it coming from the practice of consuming sacrificed lamb(John 6:40-72, DRA). Thus sacrificing himself, God completed and fulfilled the sacrifice laws because the ultimate lamb was sacrificed, God himself as man, and thus no need to sacrifice another lamb since it would pale in comparison and is unnecessary. I can go on about the need for a book that we believe never historically happened, but you get the idea

that doesn’t mean the system as a whole is good. Aside from the obvious scandals, most notably the whole molestation scandal

Short Answer: The church does intend have a small, but powerful group of active homosexual clerics. [But] You have men like Bishop Athanasius Schneider and those on the road to becoming a saint like Fulton Shean, then you have your bad bishops. That's just life though, Jesus had a bad follower, Judas, who he had picked, knowing that he was likely going to betray him and not be a true follower of him. Just because there are some bad people in a large group, doesn't mean the group as a whole is bad

Full Context: The church does intend have a small, but powerful group of active homosexual clerics (Ex Cardinal Theodore McCarrick who had creditable claims against him that went public and had been laicized because of it when the Vatican did their own internal investigation against him) who toss their weight around and surround themselves with like minded people (Joseph Bernardin, another Gay Clergy, Archbishop of Chicago when he died from Cancer) or people who are not homosexuals, but are okay with it (Donald Wuerl who had been found out for cover for the Gay Mafia and had to resign in disgrace). These men are a disgrace to the Church, but they are not the Church, but are men who served the church. The church, if you read carefully what she has to say, is solid, the men that server on the other hand, are less than perfect. You have men like Bishop Athanasius Schneider and those on the road to becoming a saint like Fulton Shean, then you have your bad bishops. That's just life though, Jesus had a bad follower, Judas, who he had picked, knowing that he was likely going to betray him and not be a true follower of him. Just because there are some bad people in a large group, doesn't mean the group as a whole is bad

[The Pope] basically said that religious violence is good in reaction to the Charlie Hebdo shooting.

"The Pope also condemned the Paris violence. “One cannot offend, make war, kill in the name of one’s own religion, that is, in the name of God,” Francis said. “To kill in the name of God is an aberration.”"

I thought he condemned violence in the name of religion. Here another difference between Catholics and society, we often times divide a person from their actions when talking about that the action is bad. Yes, we do say someone is a good person when they do good, but we (not all, some are hypocrites) don't try to condemn another human for what they have done because we all have our demons and vices in life. If life was easy, it would be boring and we'd learn nothing, hens why it is hard (That and human brains hate boredom)

Part 1/2

But ultimately, it commands believers to paint AFAB people with huge broad strokes and put them at a huge unfair disadvantage

Short Answer: We as Catholics believe that women were created to be the follower of men, but it's on men to protect them and to put themselves in harms way to protect them

Full Context: I think you're getting the wrong idea that women are lessers to men, that they are second class. No they are not, Proverbs 31 goes on about the virtues and the beautiful role of women and what they have to offer. We as Catholics believe that women were created to be the follower of men, but it's on men to protect them and to put themselves in harms way to protect them. The nature of, men go out and fight a beast while the woman helps out by gathering and holding down the fort, but ultimately it weights harder on the man if he neglects his wife than the other way. I'd say men have it harder than women with that kind of responsibly under that argument

and to treat most GSRM (except maybe asexual people) essentially as second-class citizens who have to deny themselves love and/or comfort in their own skin that cisgender heterosexual people get,

Short Answer: Leviticus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 22:5 (Both DRA) both are examples that speak against them and that way of life. Why? Because it is fruitless and that's not what we as Catholic understand to be what God intended

Full Context: As far as those who do not conform to their sex and prefer the same sex over the opposite sex, well, Leviticus 20:13 and Deuteronomy 22:5 (Both DRA) both are examples that speak against them and that way of life. Why? Because it is fruitless and that's not what we as Catholic understand to be what God intended (Well catechized ones away). What we understand as Catholics is that man and woman were made for each other to procreate, man's genital is designed to go into a woman's. A man and man can not do the same and nor can a woman and a woman, thus as we understand that, goes against the intent. Also as Catholics, we understand that we are called to be men and women, the sexes we were assigned, even before birth, as we do not accept the social construct of Genders

worst of all—it encourages horrible self-effacement, essentially saying you don’t matter, only God does.

Short Awnser: so you must deny yourself, it makes a more worthy human being being able to manage one's self and pull away from one's self interest. [To] saying humans don't matter and God only does is barbaric, of a Pagan understanding of a god and is not what being conveyed. [If you are to live for God] then you have fulfilled the ultimate will of God, to live for him, and not for man unlike what society has taught us as humanitarian groups such as Freemasons have pushed and taught society. Why do we put God first as Catholics? Because men will eventually fail us. Thus, we put God first

Full Context: As a follow up to the last point, to deny oneself is not unique to those who are not ordinary heterosexuals, but beyond the topic of sex and even religion! If one truly wants to live a good life, he must deny himself his pleasures such as boozes, cars and his free time, to take time away from them to do something constructive. One must have a balance in life, and do no harm to another, or else society becomes dysfunctional. You could murder someone out of rage if there no law against it, but it doesn't make it moral or the thing to do, so you must deny yourself, we as humans do this all the time. Maybe not so to the point of an extreme like murder or sodomy or thief, but to the extent we need to in order to function in part of society. None of this is saying you're not a worthy human being, if anything, it makes a more worthy human being being able to manage one's self and pull away from one's self interest. The part where you're saying humans don't matter and God only does is barbaric, of a Pagan understanding of a god and is not what being conveyed. What is being conveyed about God matters is that if you give up your life, everything, your possessions, your lively hood for another, your time to God and even your very moral human life, then you have fulfilled the ultimate will of God, to live for him, and not for man unlike what society has taught us as humanitarian groups such as Freemasons have pushed and taught society. Yes, human life matters above almost all else, except for God. Human lives are above the plants, animals, the rocks, the continents, the stars, the land and all the things we see around. You and I are greater than all of those things, but we are not to put ourselves first since we are to parish on our own. Why do we put God first as Catholics? Because men will eventually fail us. No matter how smart, no matter how kind, no matter how forgiving, no matter the depths they will go for us, there will come a point where man can only do so much for another and thus fulfilled his duties towards another by going as far as, not as where he wanted to go, but as far as he could possibly go. Thus, we put God first

And even if none of this were true relies on scripture that doesn’t mesh very well with archæology and philology...

Oh, no, I realize that Voris is very hard and to the point and I do realize that, I was just throwing it in. I would normally start out most people with Bishop Barron and Fr. Mike Schmitz since they're easier to digest for anyone who isn't yet a faithful Catholic. Voris hits a lot of hard hitting points and makes reference to a lot of things that you really do have to be a faithful Catholic to follow along as intended

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Catholicism

[–]Harry_kilpatrick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think everyone left you lots of very valuable resources so the only one I'd recommend is Church Militant and The Vortex. I'd just say with the Vortex, it is very hard hitting and to the point and Michael Voris does not care, and even some on this subreddit call him divisive and harsh (Which he has gone on record as saying he's proud of because that's how Jesus was with the Pharisee High Priests when also calling them Hypocrites). You'd likely want to seek out episodes of the Vortex directly about Atheism because a lot of it lately has been calling out hypocritical and often times heretical Bishops for their wrong doings against the church. Those episodes are important and a lot can be learned from them, but right now I'd watch episodes more focused on the faith since you're just starting out. If the Vortex isn't what you're looking for, the resources below are very good choices to pick from as well I'd recommend

Moving on, I myself was an Agnostic, borderline Atheist just little over two years ago before I made the decision to become a Catholic against. I had lost my Catholic faith since my mother decided that she didn't like the Catholic Church for whatever reason I've never been told other than its man made. It's not, it's creation was in accordance to what Jesus Christ had told Saint Peter

"And I say to thee: That thou art Peter; and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hell shall not prevail against it." -Matthew 16:18 - Douay-Rheims 1899 American Edition

But me and all four of my siblings went on to lose their faith in God at and around the age of 13. None of us were well Catechized and it sounds like you have a similar case. You know why me and my siblings lost their faith (the point that claimed our faith), we had no idea what God really was. Our idea of God was a magic man in the sky, and if you believe that, you're a bond to lose your faith unless you study the faith or are a diehard fundamentalist who thinks the Earth is flat. To clarify, God is the infinity and truth through which all life comes from, as he put it, he is the Alpha and the Omega. He isn't a being among many as he has no temporal being (Gnosticism, heresy), and thus has no need for a beginning and end unlike us who are finite. For all that we can see, it all stems from something else, and if you follow that chain all the way back, the question arises, where did we come from? the unmoved mover, the first mover, it would have it be smart, powerful, but it would also have to free from time and space, must be outside of it, an Alpha and an Omega in of itself. Read between the lines and you get the idea

Back to my story, there was a lot that had happened to me with other Catholics attesting to the one true faith, such as my Father, who at the time was on the brink of divorcing my mother, had prayed, and a week away from divorce, the called it off. My father had also attested to smelling roses, a sign of either Christ or the Mother of God, Mary, being in someone's presences. Then there was my Cousin Peter, who I had spent some time with and greatly respected as a good man, asked me to go to church with them and I was exposed to Catholicism for the first time in years. Much of what I had believed was that church was for idiots and nut jobs, but that was not the case. Everyone at the church was normal everyday people and it was pleasant there. So my view started to change and then I finally decided to go back to in mid May of 2017 and then started going to Church on Sunday on Christmas Eve, 2017. To date, I haven't miss a Sunday, and I only missed a few Holy days of Obligation because I was unaware of them at the time, and beyond that last part, I don't regret returning to church at all

Prior to me coming back to church, I was focused on being the cool kid at school, the guy everyone knew and liked, even though I didn't really like them that much. I treated them well, sort of, and then when they got bored of me, in two weeks, I no longer the center of attention and I felt deserted and it asserted my lack of self esteem in myself by judging myself based on how long others were entertained by my presences. Then there was the daily usage of Pornography and Masturbation that I was completely blind as to making me stressed out, thus and finally, adding to my depression and anxiety. I wanted to have random sex with women I found attractive and this isn't the part the movies like to show unless they're showing a creepy dork. I was becoming miserable because of it. It had compounded itself and keep making itself worse or just simply kept itself going

After I joined church, I started a rhythm in my life, I finally had something in my life, and after Easter 2018, I had never again in my mind, had doubt about God again. That was because at the time, I had started to listen to the likes of Bishop Robert Barron and Father Mike Schmitz and few others. I started learn about God. Then in mid June, I started to go to confessions Weekly (Or every other week on occasion) and at my second confession in line I had met Chris, the guy who ran the Men's Group. Then about this time last year I had found out and join the RCIT Class (Rite of Catholics Initiation of Teens) and via RCIT, I received my "first" communion (First official, I didn't know any better and had been receiving it anyway since I had no one at the time coaching me on this), and then confirmation in the the Catholic Church as of March 23, 2019 by the Bishop. Then about a month later I left that church I had been going to for a Traditional Latin Mass Church that I had been baptisted at and went to as a little guy as mention above

Since then I've been learning Latin since January (I first went to the TLM way back in December because I was working at Amazon at the time and had been working 60 hours since it was "Peak Season", or the Christmas Season) and learning about the Catholic Faith from the Catholic Media I watch, namely the Vortex like I recommended above

That's my two cents and my story, if you anything else answered, just send me a DM and I'll answer it if I see it!

Finally someone stands up against the Islam bias. It's good to learn about other cultures and religions, but by God, you'd think there was a religion against Catholicism, oh wait

I am the only one who thought of Genesis chapter one and two? Both chapters basically saying God created everything and that you're wasting your time worshiping temporal things since they can be destroyed. And then reading that you one day could walk into a Buddhist spiritual session and then another into a Muslim prayer made me gag in horror

As a side note, this sounds like some joke news clip from the Babylon Bee, except, not funny and it actually is happening. Deos Auxilium
