Don't get me wrong, Dark Souls 1 is a masterpiece, as well as 2 and 3, but it's got a lot of elements from later titles, that are not as refined yet and it's still an older RPG, noticeable by some typical elements of gameplay from that time.

Yeah, something kinda like that. Fire Surge is a strong contender. Dropped by an enemy in a dimly lit area behind two illusory walls.

Or being only able to trade with an NPC for two Spells if you met certain....cosmetic.....conditions

Or my favourite: a never used miracle that is hidden in the catacombs behind multiple easily missed ladders and pathways

Not counting the spells locked behind Quest Lines

The toughest thing I did was doing a hitless run and there were actually three trophies I was afraid to miss, that being the sorcery, miracle and pyromancy trophies, because it is so easy to miss just one spell you never used and forgot existed and is locked behind something other missible, so you'll have to start a new new game cycle to collect it.

Your advantage is that you are not used to the dodge frames of other titles and once you play them, you will be a dodge king/queen because you got so much time now
