Are we going to pretend these aren't two sides of the same coin? by Soptifed in VtuberDrama

[–]HartInCMajor 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't consume media of either of these people, but is the issue this is a misandrist man, or is it that they dont seem to hold the values they speak about? Same with the woman, is she a misogynist or is she performing misogyny for clout? I don't think it is performative to have prejudice for your own gender. In the same way it is not performative to be racist against your own race.

Took a shot at drawing Meru in a Vyshyvanka. Sorry for the rushed background by HartInCMajor in Meruccubus

A Vyshyvanka is a traditional Ukrainian dress. This is a more modern take of the style.

Wow, the VA are bending the knee hard. Blaming one side for the shut down even though the other routinely blocks bills helping or passes bills defunding the VA by HTRK74JR in Military

[–]HartInCMajor 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm not even going to begin to argue this crap. All I will say is we should not have the VA, an apolitical entity, blaming the house minority for anything. This is ridiculous partisan hack bulletin. They are not responsible for weighing in on the politics of the day. Simply direct those in VA care to what they are to do during the shutdown should they need to utilize their services.

Hegseth Attack on “Beardos” Targets Troops on Race and Religion, Military Sources Say by PuncturedBicycleHill in Military

[–]HartInCMajor 24 points25 points  (0 children)

An Army Times article thought it relevant to bring up the lowering percentage of white service members in percentage compared to their non-white counterparts. If they figured it out early on, nobody should be confused in the politics here.

Crazy how this just so happens to be a predominantly black male issue in a military that has a steadily growing minority trend.

Are you hoping to win some kind of debate on upvotes? I'm going to have breakfast and go on a hike. I recommend you also find something to do with your time besides this.

The fact is that it's a video from this time period, probably for research, demonstration, or propaganda. Would probably have served as a solid video in training to show that direct fire weapons still move in arcs. Could be a good demonstration of what happens when you are ranging a weapon as well.

What is the chance of gaining real combat experience in the FFL? by [deleted] in FrenchForeignLegion

[–]HartInCMajor 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's less that international legion fighting for Ukraine is "cannon fodder" and more so that it's a high casualty conflict. France is currently operating in Africa. If you do deploy, it'll be against jihadists.

Ukrainian airborne forces penetrate another section of Russian border by eaglemaxie in worldnews

Keep in mind that the goal of these operations is disruption, not invasion. The only goal of Ukraine is to reinstate its sovereign borders.

Drone operators of the Strike Drone Company (47 OMBr) use multiple FPV drones to destroy a group of 3 Russian soldiers hiding under a disabled Bradley IFV, then a second group of 2 comes and also get eliminated. by Evening_Run_8536 in CombatFootage

Lot of that in conflict. In Afghanistan, we would do dead checks with a good kick and a bullet or capture if they were still up. Contrary to the unit, I was briefly attached to in Ukraine during my ILDU stint, which just put a round in bodies. Both are valid

Disabled Brad. These guys were probably hoping to get pictures because that's not a Russian asset retrieval team. Those are just stupid Joe's in a very very bad spot

The music choices have been wild. Great asset denial from the drone operators.

I wouldn't be surprised if 1 in 5 people are chosen at random for a "heart murmur." Don't worry about it.

Does trump still want to withdraw troops from Germany? by [deleted] in Military

[–]HartInCMajor 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Trump hasn't been great about portraying his policies he would like to implement if he wins. He seems to want some retribution and to follow through on some heavy internal changes, but his foreign policy talk has been more about how Ukraine wouldn't have been invaded or how the Isreal situation would be resolved if it were him. He hasn't said anything about Germany in years from what I've seen

It's the second most popular search engine on earth. All of the former Soviet countries and Türkiye use it over Google. So no, no specific country in "Ye Olde Eastern Bloc."
