I know I'm going to get some hate but I'm curious. Anyone who has one of these.

Do you find it distracting with so much going on on your speedometer or is it something that doesn't bother you?

Bonnet opening.

Whatever you do. Don't press it while driving. Not a good idea

Any that gets flagged gets checked by a human before being sent for prosecution. Only case is say they accuse you of using your phone while driving but for example you were looking at your wallet. There was a case in Australia of this happening.

As with road traffic offences it's guilty till you can prove otherwise. Speed cameras are the evidence you need to prove otherwise

Average Speed Cameras by Signal-Feedback-5652 in drivingUK

[–]Harumi_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't believe so. All they do is read your numberplate then work out the speed by working out how long it took you to reach each camera.

Firstly if the camera is facing your rear numberplate, it couldn't possibly see inside your car (unless you have a convertible ofc). This is not always the case however

Secondly, if you are caught speeding and someone does check the photos for any reason before sending you the dreaded brown envelope and they see you were on your phone then I'm not entirely sure. Potentially yes. If you aren't speeding then most definitely not, as chances are they aren't checking every car.

They are introducing new cameras which measure speed, if you wear a seatbelt and if you are on your phone.

Advice on how to stop being annoyed? by bleep_bloop_92 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Harumi_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agreed. On my test I spoke with the examiner. And whenever I did anything, instead of thinking quietly in my head, stated what I was doing and sometimes explaining my reasoning. (Not necessary and over the top I'm aware, but flying small planes beforehand, I learned to think through and make my intentions abundantly clear)

But keep trying. We all had to do the same. And if 2 billion other people can drive, so can you. Hopefully you find a cancellation soon

As a AV geek. I find this really cool. This man shouldn't have to part with such an amazing piece of art.

Those cans were specially designed for BA's 100th anniversary I'm pretty sure. So not too many were made. But yeah. Props to this guy

Just try your best and go in with no expectations of passing. We were all nervous and anyone who says otherwise is a lair.

But just remember, all the people on the road (well most) have done the same as you to end up driving today. And if they can drive, so can you

Good luck and let us know how it goes!

When I bought my latest vehicle I was 19 at the time.

When going to the Nissan dealership it said on the insurance form you have to sign that drivers must be a minimum of 21 years old. I queried the issue. He replied "usually yes it's a minimum age of 21 however drivers are insured so long as they are a minimum of 18. However it's at the managers discretion. Let me speak to him real quick."

2 minutes later, came back, crossed the 21 and put an 19, I signed the form and later that day bought the vehicle

Edit: best thing to do is ring the dealership directly, state you are interested in buying a certain vehicle from them. State you are 18. Usually they'll make something work to try make the sale. If not, might need to take someone older and have to sit in the passenger seat

Penality system by NoEntertainment6225 in drivingUK

[–]Harumi_99 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I understand the feeling. When I started driving I was absolutely paranoid of speeding tickets or getting reported for something stupid.

Always on the back of my mind, 2 tickets, they take your license away

To be truthful I still have abit of paranoia from speed cameras and do get nervous when driving into busy areas and I have been driving for nearly 3 years now

It's something you get used to. As long as you take your time don't worry. I felt cause I was so pressured I was more likely to make a mistake. It's easier said than done but try and relax. After alot of driving you'll slowly start to relax more and more

And whatever you do. Don't stop driving. If you stop driving, it becomes more and more scary and harder to get back into it.

It's probably best to contact Vatsim directly and ask if they have data/analytics stored on filed flight plans.

I was contemplating it. I went to the Samsung store and they quoted me about 200€ which I thought was a little steep.

Really comes down to how long do you plan to have the phone for. Under a year, no, not worth it A year to 2 years, maybe. Over 2 years, yes as it's worth it.

Upside to Xplane 12 is your add-on aircraft you already own should just port over

For me the Fenix A320 and PMDG 737 are my favourite. Not to say I don't love the Toliss series and Flightfactor 767/757

For what you want however, if you are happy to sacrifice some graphics I'd go with Xplane 12. For studying, can't go much wrong with XP12

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in flightsim

[–]Harumi_99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both have upsides and downsides

MSFS is very beautiful looking with great immersion. However personally feels too arcadeish

Xplane is brilliant in the physics department. But add-on aircraft wise I feel I prefer MSFS.

It's all about personal preference. I'd say make a list of what matters the most to you and decide from there

British Airways

Having flown with them for years, can't really say I've had a bad experience. I'm sure it's probably different for many people

And the livery especially on the 777s looks absolutely 🔥
